This is a good little coat to keep my dog cool in intense heat. It does what it claims. I had a problem with the sizing as there was no overlap and my dog’s size was in between 2 ranges. I went for the bigger one but had to alter it to make it fit, not difficult if you have a sewing machine but it would be nice to buy one that fits.

We have a pug crossbreed so he struggles in the heat quite a bit. I bought this with not a lot of hope (mostly because I thought he’d refuse to move with it on). But it works, to an extent. It does keep my dog cooler and would be more effective if he didn’t insist on lying in the sun, rather than the many shaded parts we set up for him.

As I planned to take my dog to France with me I wanted to be prepared for extreme heat. This coat ticked all the boxes. While other dogs were struggling, mine didn't even pant. Stays wet for quite some time and when it dries you just pour some water over it. I only wish I had taken spares to hand out for hot doggies! I bought xs for a tiny Pomeranian and it was a perfect fit

The idea of this 'cool' vest is to dunk it in water and wring it out, then apply the wet vest to your dog. It's cool to touch, but also clammy and damp which I would personally find incredibly uncomfortable. My dog appeared to agree with me, because he just stayed perfectly still with his nose to the ground the entire time, until I took it off him when he seemed visibly relieved! I don't think putting wet clothing on a dog is a good idea anyway... I sent it back for a refund.
