I use these cables with a Sony AX43A and an AX53, both powered by powerbanks. With a 512GB card in each camcorder I can get 11 hours of continuous 4K recording (25 fps, 100 mbps) on each of them. I film a lot of live music videos and having to charge and change batteries every couple of hours was a real pain. With these cables the problems no-longer exist. I wish that I had discovered them earlier. I can't comment on longevity as I've only been using them for a couple of months, but absolutely no problems so far. A real game-changer for me.

This cable is simple to use and works perfectly with any camera listed also works with the Sony HDR-PJ620 Camcorder with Projector, I would highly recommend, Only reason for 4 Stars is cause of the waiting time on the product, mine was late to arrive but arrived on the day expected

I bought this as I have a need to charge my Sony ax53 camcorder away from the home. I use my solar generator and thought that this would be perfect, it would be if it actually charged the battery to full. I have had to unplug it 4 times so far today and the battery is not at 50% yet?? My supply outlet is 2.4A output and it's the only thing charging from my 120W solar panel. Today is a bright sunny day. If anyone has any ideas, I'd like to hear them.

Ok for the job but needs a serious current draw (3-4 amps) to get it to charge the battery at any decent rate. Ok for car supply.

L' idea già l'avevo: sacrificare il cavo di uscita dell'alimentatore 220volt, per collegarlo a uno "STEP UP" che elevi la tensione del power bank usb 5 volt a 8,4 volt richiesti dalla videocamera Sony FDR AX-33. Mi sono evitato un lavoro di saldatura trovando questo adattatore, che dalle prove eseguite, funziona bene. Col tester ho misurato la tensione in uscita dall'alimentatore a 220 volt, e sono 8,4 volt. La stessa tensione che esce usando il pacco batterie da 5 volt (un power bank per cellulari e smartphone da 16250 mA). L' amperaggio in uscita del mio pacco batterie è max 2,4 volt, quello richiesto dalla videocamera 1,7A. Quindi siamo a posto. Con batteria inserita e videocamera spenta, alimentandola si accende il led di ricarica batteria, ma si spegne dopo alcuni secondi. Probabilmente significa che la corrente non è sufficiente alla ricarica batteria, ma abbastanza per il funzionamento della videocamera. Nessun problema perchè io ricarico la batteria nei momenti di pausa, tramite la USB della video camera, collegandoci un secondo Power Bank. La batteria carica mi serve da backup, nel caso che si stacchi il cavetto di alimentazione, non si interrompe a registrazione.
