Does this have any kind of warranty?

No. But it does come with all the assurances and comfortable fuzzy feelings of a Chinese made product. Joking. I bought it and it works just fine.

Is the crash pad cover water resistant/water proof?

It has resisted light rain and a fewSpills here and there... When it got dirty it was easyly cleaned up with soap and water.
