IM-60YUS Under-Counter Ice Maker (commercial grade)

I bought this similar unit 9 1/2 years ago and it finally stopped. today I bought this unit and hoping I get another 9 1/2 years! It’s great to have lots of ice daily. The only down side is the periodic cleaning. Doing it properly with the proper cleaning liquid and interior scrubbing is time consuming (several hours) at least 5 cycles, but it works.

I have had two of these ice makers. First of all, ice makers are not easy to keep alive. I am on the beach and I have had several. And most units were considerable more than this unit. In fact, blaze will cost you over $2000 and does not perform any better. If you get 2 years of ice, be happy. And this unit is a work horse. I like it and will continue to buy it. Any problems I have had, they addressed it right away.

We are going to keep, too much trouble to pack it back in original packaging. Disappointed.

1st and foremost- DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! This thing has leaked 3 times and ruined our hardwood floors. This company DOES NOT give a rat's crack that they sell POS equipment. I had a plummer inspect and said the gravity drain system was crap. ADDITIONALLY, Amazon A-Z warranty is also a farce. No support from Amazon either. I should take them to small claims court for the floor damages, but we all know what that would be like. What a wasted experience with these turds from Soup to Nuts.

I have two Sunpentown products that stopped working after 4 years. I have tried several times to contact their customer service to obtain parts. No response.Lesson learned? BUY A REPUTABLE BRAND!
