I was not expecting much.I bought several different back supports at various price points, including one that was almost identical to this in design, but much cheaper. The other three arrived quickly, but this one was coming from abroad and took longer (weeks) (it still arrived by the promised date).Since the other one like this had straps that slipped, and didn't really give that much support, I was expecting a similar fit and experience from this. Boy was I surprised! This is MUCH more carefully built, the straps (which look very similar) somehow don't slip at all. The waist belt is more sturdy and stays put (it is slightly shorter than the cheaper one, so it fits more on my true waist, not lower on the hips) Even so, it gives more overall support. It pulls the shoulders back -- and even without making it utterly cheap, it does the trick -- which means it works without being painful unless you over tighten. Over time you will need to tighten it a bit more b/c you will stand straighter... but you will also stand straighter when you aren't wearing it. I've put it on intending to wear for a couple hours, and forgotten I'm wearing it. I'm not saying it's completely like wearing nothing, but that it is only slightly more uncomfortable than a very supportive sports bra (I have heavy bust and need to be strapped down to avoid bouncing everywhere).Over all? Very pleased. Unlike my other favorite, which has metal stays down the back, this one is not fraying at the edges - that one works very well and is surprisingly comfortable, but the stays poke thru the bottom after just a couple weeks. This one is almost as whole-back straightening and just as effective at pulling the shoulders back.I wear it to work at my computer, lounge in bed and around the house. I loosen and tighten when I feel a need for more or less support/constriction.I wear over clothing.I rotate the various braces, depending on the amount of support I want and how warm it is. I find it makes it less likely that I will end up hurting in a particular spot if I change it up. I use one of these almost every day and for several hours. This one is becoming the most popular.__________Notes on my brace buys__________The simplest brace i bought is a figure of eight one (which has very short straps and is very binding) has become the one i use least, mostly because it is too hard to put on. That will hold my shoulders back, but doesn't affect overall posture. A friend had one of those figure 8 straps, and I found it very helpful, which is why i decided to go down this road. Hers is slightly more comfortable, but I had her help putting it on. If you're young and active and plan to wear it for short periods, that style will open up your shoulders and your breathing... but it's quite painful after a short while. THIS ONE IS NOT painful or uncomfortable. All in all, the more expensive ones have performed better, something that isn't always the case. In this case, the differences in price isn't worth economizing.Bottom line: This brace I'm reviewing needs no outside assistance to put on, take off or adjust. This brace is well made with quality material and works well once you have it on. My only suggestion would be an adjustment for the top straps that has some extra length making it easy to get to. Most people working on posture do not have good mobility and range of motion in the shoulders

This thing does what it says, after wearing it I feel myself with better posture for a while after wearing it. I want to wear it as much as possible, but I've been limited to once a day because I feel weird wearing it out. I wear it for 1-2 hours most days, and it has helped. It keeps my back from hurting when I'm getting ready, I always hunch when I'm putting on makeup and it hurts, this helps a lot.My only problem is that the shoulder straps won't go as tight as I need them, but I have narrow shoulders and that is to be expected. I took a photo to show the strap's limit to adjusting, it's only halfway up. Not worth taking a star off, but something to keep in mind.

I am a bit bigger lady than shown in the advertising for this product and found the shoulder straps tend to start to dig into the front of my arms just above the armpit after wearing for very little time. The straps that are supposed to hold your shoulders back seemed a little too long and at an angle that didn't help my posture at all. The waist cinch was too low on my hips and therefore did nothing beneficial in helping my posture because it isn't designed for the "larger" crowd, clearly. I gave it three stars because it is a good, well made and high-quality product if you fit the mold.

It was too large and was very uncomfortable under the arm. It was a totally uncomfortable fit all over. I did feel any support for my posture. I tried wearing it for a couple of weeks but it was just too uncomfortable.

Medium size it’s small for me I would like to replace with a large size. I have pain in my ribs because it’s to tide please give me instructions to return it or replace

I had high hopes for this because I have thoracic back spasms along with lower back pain so this felt like perfect solution. However it has to according to the design be snug under armpit area to draw your shoulders in its intended backward motion. I’m my humble opinion it creates a new area of pain that you don’t otherwise have under the front part of your arms where the brace has to go to do it’s job. Loosening it in that area would defeat the purpose. I believe I will return it due to the soreness and pain created by my arms that I don’t otherwise have. Kind of a bummer.

I am a hairstylist I have been for 30 yrs. I have developed back issues from standing on my feet for so long when I work. I bought this to help support my back during the times I work. And it has been amazing. It has taken away pain and fatigue. I am really glad I bought this I am very pleased and very happy with this brace.
