DEAL Set of 2 New EFI Electric External In-Line Fuel Pump Compatible With C/CL/E/S/SL Class E8177

My car sat for 2 years and found it needed a fuel pump, found it had two. They can be over $200ea at the auto parts store so I decided to look elsewhere. The carts came quickly and I installed them right away. The fit was perfect and installation straightforward. The car started up and runs great! I passed smog in California and I’m back on the road, very happy.

So I decided to try these over Bosch as my 500 Uses 2 X Pumps in series and this would save over $150. Worth a shot and I'm writing this review 1 Year later for longevity of parts review. So they are good quality and come with check valves and fresh termination boots. Took me 1 hours to remove and replace pumps (Filter and accumulator I highly recommend while down these) and my SL drove like a CHAMP. So much better pickup/acceleration. If these last another year they will have paid for themselves in labor alone. I can easily recommend these for replacements and if you had a cold/hard start when hot problem, replace accumulator also for a better instant start of engine.

Works great, good fuel pressure and no leaks no noise. Did not use provided electrical connectors as the terminals fit with the old ring terminals on the car.

Just about exactly the same size and shape as the Bosch pumps (one failed) replaced in my '91 300CE and come with rubber caps and hardware in case you drop one of the nuts taking the old ones off. No fancy blue plastic on these but I wrapped a little electrical tape around them where the clamps are, probably not needed but I figured a little extra vibration isolation is good. Is year 2020 Chinese manufacturing technology, materials, quality control, etc as good or better than 30 year old German? Only time will tell but after 2 days of driving it ~30 miles I'd bet on 'yes' Will update if they fail early.

2 pumps weight is exactly same as original Bosch. Noise is very low, 2 months now and it is ok, Installed in Mercedes W140.

Pumps worked, car runs. Priced right even if you intend to replace with Bosch eventually. Solved a problem of intermittent fuel pressure.
