Sent a picture with my claim of the broken blade about 2 weeks ago and forgot about it and was surprised to find some new loppers in my box. I think it would be cool if I could just have 2 or 3 blades on hand, but I guess you can't complain when they do no questions asked replacement. The powergear 2 is more substantial but the larger head is harder to get into tighter spaces. Our trail crews prefer the lighter powergear as they are easier to carry and use for an extended period of time. If your use is mostly at home or in the garden, either will work well. **Q: Can anyone tell me how long the handles are? Thank you.** A: The handles are 22" long. I highly recommend this lopper! I had rotator cuff surgery in 2002 and still have to watch stress to the joint.
