199-9 Repair Kit for Hand Pumps

Bought this product to repair my RV faucet. It worked as intended and was easy to install. Came with all the needed parts for the models listed.

The product is working alright so far but I'm concerned given the packaging of the gasket and seal. One of the components - a cardboard seal - was fused to the shrink wrapping of the package and some of it still was after I removed it. There was enough to finish the repair to our pump, but I'm guessing that it won't last as long given that. If I hadn't been under time constraints to make the repair I would have returned the opened item.

Instructions were only fair but bolted the new pump on quickly.

A little short on instructions, but, with the drawing you can figure it out. The pump now works and it didn't before. Mission accomplished.

Should have been an easy faucet rebuild, but it was tedious and did not work when i turned it on. My lesson: buy a new pump instead of fumbling with the repair kit. It will save your time and reduce frustration.

It worked for a time, but while I was testing it out, something snapped and the handle disconnected from the diaphragm. Upon inspection, I found that a knurled brass insert pulled out from the plastic plunger. I was able to repair (not fix, just repaired) the unit by using the original plunger, however the "pumping" part no longer works, due to a different design from the original part. If I press the handle to the rear, water from the hose flows, but I cannot use the water in the tank. The original pump worked for 22 years, this kit lasted 22 minutes...I have not contacted the seller as of yet. Save your money, buy a new pump.

All the replacement parts appeared correct in size, shape, thickness, etc. However, after replacing all worn/torn pieces, now the faucet is difficult to operate and still leaks from the gasket area. A strong amount of pressure is needed on the handle to get full water pressure. It's almost like one of those hand-strengthening springs.Packaging was not the best. Plastic stuck to paper gasket, which may be why it isn't working as well as it should.I

Item had all the parts needed to restore an old faucet. Worked great.
