When I first stating using espresso machines, I used the two packages of cleaner  that was part of the packaging . One portion of a package was added to the full tank of water, while the other was in tablet form for the group head. One cleaning worked well: no 2nd time needed. My next machine was a mid level Breville machine the cleaners are a different different. As directed by cleaning instructions, 1/2 the water tank is White Cider Vinegar, while the group head uses a teaspoon of Dezcal: came in packages, not cans.But the same. The Dezcal must be doing it's job well because periods between cleaning or constant and matches closely what is specified in Machine manual.  Any other questions, I'll tell you what I know and how well it worked for me
  

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great decalcifier

Got 20 loose packets but I just keep it in the mailing envelope it came in. Works well on my Jura super automatic machine. I use a filter on the machine but I'll still use this decalcifier every time I change the filter just for extra precaution. After I run it through the coffee machine I reuse the solution on other electric water boilers then dump it into the dishwasher. It cleans all of them. Much cheaper than the Jura decalcifier and works just as well.

Been using this for years.  I'm not sure if this is helping my coffee machine last so long...but mine has been operating for 7 years.  I'm assuming this has prevented any mineral buildup and clocking the tubes.  The nature of coffee machines means I can't really compare one I didn't use this one to the one I did...but I do like that it's reasonably inexpensive compared to the brand they wanted me to use.
