D'Addario Royal Organic Alto Saxophone Reeds, Strength 2.5, 10-Pack

For this purchase, I was just looking to revisit this reed since I've been switching between Vandoren green and red box for the last 10yrs. These reeds worked really well on the Select Jazz alto mouth piece. Very nice and warm sound. I was able to work my way up and down the registers evenly in timbre and projection. After all ths time, I still find my way back to Rico (D'addario) Royals. What's great is they now come in these smaller packs, albeit slightly more expensive per reed this way. It's more convenient to either try out this cut or try out different sizes to see if you need to move up/down.

I used Royals on tenor for several years and am now using them for alto. I like the value of the reeds, I prefer them over Vandoreen standard blue boxes. I've never had any issues with reeds coming out of the box unplayable. 2.5 is my preffered strength, it gives a good mix of easy playability and good sound quality. D'Addario has a good rewards program too, enter the code on the inside of the box for points that can be redeemed for products, I've gotten a nice free reed case this way.

I thought it would be hard to play saxophone with these reeds but it’s just so easy

This is a second kind of reed I tried. The first one I previously bought from Amazon did not work very well. I had to try 3~ 4 piece to get one that worked. This reed package by Royal Alto I bought has 3 pieces. I only used one piece and it worked right away and it produced good sound. It costs more but it is worth the money.

I use these for my Conn alto saxophone; they work great. My favorite reed, they play well and I like how flexible they are.

Good sound, plays well, pretty consistent.

Tried these when the Rico we liked we're out of stock at local shop. Very happy with them. Daughter now prefers them over Rico and Vandoren. They are good quality, smooth not splintery. Sturdy and last may uses and function as expected when marching outside in humid or dry/cold weather. Consistent sound for concert playing, too. Not the cheapest but with it.

最近年と共に柔らかなリードは欲しくなり、ヤマハの樹脂リードやﾊﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞﾚﾝの赤箱２．５などを使用していたが音程が低くなりがちだったので、それよりも柔らかいという事でこれを使ってみた、MPはメイヤー、サックスはヤマハ６２、吹きやすく音が簡単に出るので結構気に入っている。まだまだ初心者の域を脱出できないがいろいろ試している。
