I installed this on my FJ Cruisers license plate. the installation was pretty easy, as the FJ is very customizable. From the back, the camera looks to be OEM and have had a lot of compliments from people asking "I thought that the FJ Cruisers didn't have backup cameras on the license plate?"The picture on the camera is 720p, and can get fuzzy..especially in the rain/fog, but to me that's expected.Not sure if my camera is defective or not, but there are no reverse guidelines on my radio's screen. I did not cut the included wire to "Cut if you want no guidelines"..so that is something to consider.

I read a review on here that said this camera didn't fit an FJ Cruiser but i bought it anyways because some people are smarter than others ...WELL, I have a 2007 FJ Cruiser and guess what? Fits like a glove! I guess the previous reviewer failed to actually attempt to remove the license plate light first. This is meant to replace one of your license plate lights, it has a separate red and black cable meant to power the little square led next to the camera...I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS CAMERA ...it's so stealth, better than those obvious screw In the license plate cameras. great job China lol. I'll update and give 5 stars if the video is half way decent ...it's only a backup cam and doesn't need to be all that great.((UPDATE)) only captures like a couple feet of the ground no cars park behind me NOTHING. ...did I get a dud!? at least I wont be running over any ducks, cats or iguanas directly under/behind my bumper.

It does the job. But wish the quality of the camera was better.

Installed it on my 2014 FJ Cruiser with a very nice Kenwood (brand new) head unit. The video goes in and out and is grainy. I tried other video displays and sources and its the same. The install for an FJ is extensive so it isn’t even worth removing. I am going to install a new camera in a higher location for a better view. I reaches out to the seller with no response. Just don’t but it. Mount a camera higher up on the truck or where the factory camera goes.

Very hard installation for FJ Cruisers. Video quality is ok, not awesome.

Its mentioned clearly in the product description that it fits fj cruiser, the camera dimensions is different than the fj has just to install the camera in the plate light. What is mentioned in the product description is just a propaganda to sell the product
