Love it - what’s not to love

Fabulous film , just as i remember when i was a child, i am now passing these memories onto my daughter who also enjoyed this film.

Great story. Very dramatic.

I have just finished watching Anne Of Green Gables - The Continuing Story, and have to say I am actually amazed it came from the same people who gave us the other 2 lovely 'Anne' films! I was so excited when I learnt there was a 3rd installment I hadn't seen! However, I was about to be hugely disappointed! I just could'nt believe how old the characters looked, considering it was meant to be set only 5 years after the sequel left off. Anne herself (Megan Follows) must have been nearly 40, she certainly looked it!! She even sounded different! I found this so distracting, it was difficult to focus on the actual story!! Her character also seemed to have become totally different, so 'normal' with none of her endearing, quirky ways about her. Obviously being set in the war, the theme was very different, and if you ask me, this is the fatal flaw... how lovely it would have been to have simply had just another 3 hours of 'life' and 'people' in Avonlea, Anne and Gill, purely building their life together at Green Gables. Such a shame, I wish I'd never watched it, it spoilt the idea of a 'happy ending' that the sequel left me with. I don't recommend this AT ALL!!!

I hadn`t seen this before but it is good. Took me some time to work out this was a 2 sided DVD as there were no labels on the disk itself and the writing is miniscule

First off I purchased the VHS version. I'm 22 years old and for nostalgic purposes I wanted the VHS. It ran fine, it had a few film stutter moments but that's part of the vhs feeling ya know? It didn't affect me watching it. Now for the movie... I've put off watching this my whole life because people said " it will ruin the other Anne movies.." or " It was terrible full of war and sad.." . Okay, I went into it having low expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised! I thought the movie was great and insightful! The other Anne of Green Gables movies are happy and fun, and why? Because she was a child who was orphaned and found a loving home to grow up in. Those are going to be happy movies. This movie however is when she is all grown up, in the real world and trying to figure things out in a stressful environment. Above all in the actual time period.. there was a WAR happening WW1 (1914-1918) ! In real life back then I'm sure it was not a happy and fun time. I am a history buff at heart so I appreciated how the story was told and the film was shown in that era. At times I felt like 'Anne' could've been more expressive to match her past younger character. But again she's grown up now and and people change. Also I'll say this I think what the "worst" thing about it for me was the way her voice sounded throughout the movie. (haha) it really threw me off in the beginning, she just sounded so different compared to her previous Anne. But anyways... that's my two cents. Go into the movie as if you are catching up with a good friend that you haven't seen in 15 years during a war time. and That might give you a different appreciation for the movie. That's what I did and I enjoyed it.

Il film è solo in lingua originale,l' inglese, con sottotitoli in francese e spagnolo. Doppiaggio in queste lingue non esaltante.

bonjour 2 dvd dans le boitier 1 dvd ne correspond pas au .vol 3 mais vol 1 l autre dvd correspond a la deuxième partie les année de tourmente manque la premier partie . cordialement Dany
