Works like the one my Mom Had
Grew up with these type of brooms in the house. These Straw brooms works exactly like the ones we used in my house growing up. Something to know about these brooms is they aren't heavy duty brooms for heavy work for use outside or for things like broken glass on floors. We always used it more as a dust broom or dust-bunny broom which it does better than any other broom I've used on our hard floors.Compared to the other types of brooms we have in the house that we've purchased at Home Depot/Lowes/Target that use artificial or hard straw is that dust bunnies tend to stick to the those and you have to uses your hands to pull the dust bunnies off. Not with these type of broomsThis is not to say this broom completely replaces those heavier duty type brooms. We have those too for things like broken glass, heavier items to sweep up or for use on the patio and garage.Regarding the broom falling apart or losing straw. Even with the ones I had growing up, they would occasionally lose straw, more so when used roughly. When used as a "dust" or light work broom, it happens much less often and can last many years.

SO easy to use one-handed! And, even better....
...it corrals without scattering what you're trying to collect. It reaches places regular brooms can't touch. You can dust shutters with it. It is very light, and takes no effort to sweep. The first time or two you use this broom, there is some fine particulate matter that comes out and is swept up without any problem. If that worries you, sweep your porch or walk before using it inside, and it will resolve itself.Hang it up to protect the shape when not in use.I do Really like how this broom works, because I don't have to work as hard..

Fell apart in first use.
I have a similar version I purchased a couple years ago in an Asian store, loved the broom at the time as it seems to clean my tile floor - marble so great. Well with use it started falling apart. So I went back to the Asian store and searched and asked and searched and could not find a replacement after being told to look here and there, I gave up and bought this item on amazon.com.Broom arrived and I excitedly noticed how soft it was in comparison to the model I purchased locally, I then noticed that as I swept a small area and saw what seemed like a fair amount of dust, I'm like whoa this thing is really good, yeah right, what I later discovered was a dust falling off the broom material at a rapid and consistent rate looking like a greenish brown dust from the straw fronds, then as I used, it started falling apart before my eyes to the point that in a sweeping stroke motion, I was missing a middle swath of dust as the middle of the broom was gone.I was past disappointed and called Amazon and requested a return/refund and told Amazon no way am I taking a hit for return shipping. Amazon listened and took it back, thats why I shop here.

Only broom to use…
I was first introduced to the soft broom during an overseas tour in the Philippines. I learned that it works better than anything for dog hair, dirt in general and “fuzz bunnies”. It sweeps up everything so much better than the conventional broom. Although they last seemingly forever, I will likely reorder and do so from this vendor.

Vietnamese style broom
Whilst I appreciate the type of broom a great deal I found it diminished in size and quality compared to brooms like it. A bit pricey to boot.

BEST BROOM EVER!
I could never imagine I'd be smitten with a broom!!! Of all things! I have 2 cats, birds and a doberman. Live in a VERY OLD farmhouse, track in a lot of dirt& other stuff. This broom TOTALLY picks up cat hair, dog hair, dust galore & a lot of unidentifiable "debris". I love this broom so much...I'm sending loved ones this for hristmas & hope they're not offended! It's great, I'm sweeping daily...good times🤭

Gets the job done, and most importantly looks great . Nicely crafted - Great Wall decor.
Does the job and looks great hanging on the wall.

Great style but useless if defective like mine
Other reviews about the broom shedding particles are right. I’ve had two brooms of this type and loved them for our hard floors. The second I ordered 4 yeas ago and it finally had lost too many bristles so I ordered two more, one for a friend, one for me (the sellers’s photo is exactly the same on the 2015 order and now in 2019). BOTH new brooms leave so much dust - tiny greenish particles from the straw - that they’re a masochistic joke to use. I took them outside to shake them off but knocking them against a fence produced a billowing dust storm that felt hazardous to be near so I stopped. My theory is that the straw either wasn’t processed as it should be or the straw was harvested at the wrong time of year for broom making. So sad, because the style is wonderful, the ones I and many others got, are just not up to par.
