Round Toilet Seat w/Chromed Metal Hinges, Wood, White

I worried for over two hours about self-installing a new toilet seat when the original one (builder grade plastic) broke at the hinge. NO NEED! After unscrewing the broken toilet seat and disposing of it, the instructions for this Topseat seat were clear, mostly pictures, but clearly understandable. Ten minutes later I had a fully installed WOOD toilet seat with METAL hinges that is secure, feels substantial compared to the original and with no shift or wiggle room. This is a well made, well finished product that has a nice sheen, fits PERFECTLY and is unbelievably easy to install. I really like it! Don't waste money on a higher priced item, this is perfect!

I just got my new toilet seat and am really impressed. I was looking for a sturdy seat after having replaced my Bemis seats 3 times in the last 2 years. They were pretty much all that were available at my local hardware store but were all cracking within a few months of use. I have a relative who weighs alot and expect that contributed to the breakages. This new seat is truly sturdy and looks great.The 4 bumpers on the bottom of the seat look like they might help prevent these breaks. The seat was so easy to install and had great instructions so I could do it myself (I'm a widow in my 70's and not terribly handy.) instead of waiting until one of my sons-in-law could get to it. Also, the finish looks really good and flawless, unlike the Bemis seats I've had in the past. This seat seems well worth the money and the chrome hinges are a nice touch.

Very impressed with the quality. Didn't find one rough spot or flaw when installing and install was easy. I like the satiny finish and the chrome hinges look nice after years of the plastic things that snap down over the hardware. Good value for the money.

Within one week of the item being installed, as I was cleaning the seat I noticed a crack on the underside of the seat and bubbling next to it due to the opening as you can see in the pictures. This was a well-maintained seat which got damaged within a week. Horrible construction, returning asap. I just hope to God they don't make me return this item, which will prove that they reuse and refinish used items. Will keep everyone updated as soon as I get in touch with Amazon CS. Edit: Amazon wanted me to return it, but they redirected my call to a TopSeat representative who assured me that they don't sanitize and resell used products. They allowed me to keep the damaged one, and I just received the new one. Installation was as easy as before, and so far so good. No damage, seems sturdier than the first one I received which was probably just defective. Will keep everyone updated if I encounter any problems at all. Good work from both Amazon CS and TopSeat CS.

I have been through 3 name brand seats (coukohlergh) and they have all broken just as the warranty is over or even on the day of the warranty ending, which is only a single year. The moment I picked this one up, it seems sturdier, heavier, durable. Only time will truly tell but I am sure this will hold up. This one has 4 bumpers on the bottom of the seat and 2 bumpers on the lid. Name brands only have 2 bumpers on the seat. I think that is a key point. IF any of this proves untrue, I will update my review to let you know.

I just received and finished installation of this toilet seat and thought I was very pleased with the purchase UNTIL I tested putting the seat cover up. It won't STAY up! I've lived in this house many years and have never had this issue before and it's darned annoying. Now I'm stuck with a seat that MUST be kept in the down position at all times and suspect that a mid-night visit to the master bathroom will result in a sit-down shock. On the upside the product seems well made and will last many years. But, alas, that is a DOWNSIDE for me, since I won't be able to replace it with one that works like a normal toilet seat. BUMMER.

Toilet seat is very well made and sturdy! Don't go anywhere else, you will not be disappointed!!
