Dogs like this, but not the other flavor
I bought 2 different flavors, and my 3 dogs likes this one, which I was surprised about. I purchased the lamb & sweet potato flavor as well & they refuse to eat it. I was surprised as one of their favorite treats is the same flavor.

They recently changed the food, calories went up.
My dog loves this food. They recently changed the recipe a bit, you could tell it looked better quality. My dog has loved it even more (and we usually have to try to get him to eat). My concern is that the calories per cup have now gone up drastically from 357 to 524 and I didn't notice before throwing out the bag (found it on the canidae website). Just wanted to add this review so people maybe see that and your dogs don't gain weight unexpectedly.

Not sure about this food yet.
I recently switched to this brand dog food because I wanted to go grain-free for my 3 dogs. After 2-3 days all 3 dogs got the diarrhea.? It's been 2 days of diarrhea. Not sure if it's the food or a bug they caught.

Great ingredients.
Our dogs love Canidae "Under the Sun" Grain Free Dog Food. We actually mix it with some canned Canidae dog food. It is made in Canada. It has quality ingredients & vitamins. Also I have noticed it is never on a recall list.

Kibble mixed with powder
There is so much powder in the bag. This is my 2nd bag of this brand and both bags have had the same problem. As soon as my dogs finish eating it they start hacking and sounding like they can't get something down (or up). The food powder prevalent throughout is most likely coating their esophagi and causing them this distress. I have taken to adding warm water to their bowls in an attempt to turn the powder into a paste or a broth. As this is the 2nd out of 2 bags with this problem I can only assume this is the natural state of the product and I must find another brand before my dogs end up at the emergency vet.

Not the Same High Quality Anymore
We’ve been buying this exact brand of dog food through Amazon subscription every 3 weeks for the last several years. This year we’ve had about 3 encounters with this food not being consistent & our 3 dogs getting sick on it and having major gas problems. I don’t know if the mixture or recipe is different; the shape of the kibble vary each bag we get. This latest bag has caused GI issues for our dogs this week. Will be researching to switch to another brand.

Not sure it's good.
I recently had to find a ew food as Rachel Ray Grain free is impossible to find. I mixed old and new food. Dog has had super soft stools and even diarrhea for a week. I'm going to do some elimination diet things. See if I can figure out conclusively what's going on.

Not sure its really 40lbs
I normally was buying 23 lb bags at the store of another brand that was actually pea sized but prices nearly doubled so we decided to try something new and this seemed like a good option. ordered the 40lb bag and its about dime sized not pea sized and only fills the 25lb sized container we keep food in. I should have been able to fill the entire container and had a bunch still in the bag. Very frustrated that we got just a little bit more food than having bought it at the store for close to double what it would have been at the store. bought this for the price because a 40lb bag should last nearly 2x as long as the 23lb bag so it shouldve been a better deal rather than a screw over
