I was literally thinking one day "I wonder if someone has come up with a dummy HDMI connector that tricks the server into thinking that there is a high-resolution monitor attached for better remote access" Well obviously someone was way ahead of me. After buying the HDMI versions, I wondered if there were super-old-school VGA connectors for a really old server - and there are. These work perfectly and make things much easier for me on an old machine that revert to 640x480 when there is no monitor connected when it boots. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working perfectly on old laptop. *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2018* Works exactly as advertised, using on a 10 year old Dell laptop running Linux Mint, with a built in display of only 1280x768 which I keep tucked away, with lid down. I can remote in to the laptop and get 1920x1080 resolution. Before this, I had to keep it hooked up via VGA cable to a spare monitor which wasn't even turned on, so that Linux would detect it on startup and apply the proper resolution. What a waste of a 1920x1080 monitor.
