The New York Times bestseller from the founder of Oh She Glows "Angela Liddon knows that great cooks depend on fresh ingredients. You'll crave every recipe in this awesome cookbook!" —Isa Chandra Moskowitz, author of Isa Does It "So many things I want to make! This is a book you'll want on the shelf." —Sara Forte, author of The Sprouted Kitchen A self-trained chef and food photographer, Angela Liddon has spent years perfecting the art of plant-based cooking, creating inventive and delicious recipes that have brought her devoted fans from all over the world. After struggling with an eating disorder for a decade, Angela vowed to change her diet — and her life — once and for all. She traded the low-calorie, processed food she'd been living on for whole, nutrient-packed vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, and more. The result? Her energy soared, she healed her relationship with food, and she got her glow back, both inside and out. Eager to share her realization that the food we put into our bodies has a huge impact on how we look and feel each day, Angela started a blog, ohsheglows.com, which is now an Internet sensation and one of the most popular vegan recipe blogs on the web. This is Angela's long-awaited debut cookbook, with a trasure trove of more than 100 moutherwatering, wholesome recipes — from revamped classics that even meat-eaters will love, to fresh and inventive dishes — all packed with flavor. The Oh She Glows Cookbook also includes many allergy-friendly recipes — with more than 90 gluten-free recipes — and many recipes free of soy, nuts, sugar, and grains, too! Whether you are a vegan, "vegan-curious," or you simply want to eat delicious food that just happens to be healthy, too, this cookbook is a must-have for anyone who longs to eat well, feel great, and simply glow! Review: The best vegan cookbook EVER - My husband and I transitioned our family to a plant-based diet about 2 years ago after viewing the Forks Over Knives documentary. I went crazy buying vegan cookbooks, and while I have made good recipes from all of them, the Oh She Glows Cookbook has blown them all away. Here's why I give it 5 stars: -Great basic info for newbies to vegan cooking, but also has unique combinations of flavors in recipes for those of us who have cooked plant-based foods for years. -Very minimal recipes with tofu, tempeh, seitan- which vegan cookbooks are usually FULL of (Veganomicon...this means you!) -I've made about 20 recipes in the book- and ALL of them were "definitely-make-again" recipes -The food photography is beautiful. Seriously...I want to tear the pages out and frame them and put them up in my kitchen! -I will without hesitation give this book as a gift to carnivorous friends- the food is just that delicious. Comments on specific recipes: -Caesar salad- I've needed a vegan replacement for caesar salad dressing for YEARS. My kids LOVED this dressing. No complaints for the "real" stuff. -Tex Mex casserole- DELICIOUS. (Someone posted on their desertcart review that it was inedible and they had to throw it out??!! They have to have made it wrong!) Even my kids loved this with a little guac and cashew sour cream. -Lentil and cauliflower soup- First recipe I made and I thought it was too simple to possibly taste good. I was WRONG. New favorite soup! -Almond butter chocolate chip cookies- yum -Cookie dough bites- the kids LOVED these, of course, but I didn't feel guilty for letting them have them! -Avocado pasta- another kid pleaser. Everyone liked it which is an incredible feat in our house. -Tomato basil pasta- tastes like something from a fancy restaurant. So rich and creamy- you won't believe its vegan. -Sweet potato black bean enchiladas with her 5-minute enchilada sauce- kids didn't like this one but my husband and I did! The blend of flavors was just perfect and the homemade sauce so easy. -the GLO BAR- This is my favorite recipe in the whole book. A homemade granola bar full of plant-based food power and that doesn't fall apart! My kids tore these up and I gave some as gifts to friends for their birthdays. A hit with everyone! My only complaint is that some of the recipes take a while to make... being a working mother of 3 and having cooked plant-based for a while, I realize this is just part of eating healthy. There is generally more prep involved when cooking with only plant-based foods. Maybe now that the author is pregnant her next book could focus on fast healthy recipes: "Oh She Glows in 30 minutes or less". :) Review: Well worth the wait -- and be sure to check the OSG blog for bonus recipes! - I eagerly pre-ordered this book back in September, and have been patiently waiting for it to come out. The Ultimate Nutty Granola was absolutely incredible and super easy to make, and the chocolate Frozen Pizza (which uses brown rice krispy cereal coated in cocoa as a crust) was one that even my husband (who doesn't usually like the raw or vegan desserts I make) loved. The Broccoli & Cashew Cheese-Quinoa Burritos were also delicious, and I've been using the leftover quinoa mix on a bed of greens for a light lunch. I've also enjoyed the Raw Buckwheat Breakfast Porridge several mornings this past week, and have added in the homemade granola and some fresh berries on top. Delicious and healthy! This has already become one of my favorite cookbooks! Everything is fast and easy to make, which is important to me since I don't like complicated recipes on work nights.

BEST Cookbook, EVER! Vegan or not...
As I write this review the Soul-Soothing African Peanut Stew simmers on the stove... and oh my it smells heavenly... I've yet to taste this one... but almost everything else I've made so far as been fantastic... i'm thinking the stew will be no different. **Update: the stew was no different...tasted even more heavenly than it smelled :) This book has been my constant companion since I received it two weeks ago. First of all it is a gorgeous cookbook. There are wonderful full color photographs for every recipe. With each recipe there are helpful tips and options to make the recipes gluten, soy, & nut free. In addition to being vegan I try to avoid gluten and soy. I can make almost everything in this cookbook. Here's the rundown of what I've made so far and the results: Apple Pie Oatmeal p. 49: Delicious and easy. It says it serves one so I doubled the recipe for my husband and I and we had two VERY generous bowls... wondering if I could have gotten away with just the one serving for both. Perfected Chickpea Salad Sandwich p. 105: Better than any chicken salad I've ever had. I made one batch, ate it, then immediately made other batch. I did not make sandwiches... rather wrapped the salad in cabbage leaves. This one is a keeper! On the Mend Spiced Red Lentil-Kale Soup p. 131: This is a very hearty and satisfying soup. I made this for my allergy-suffering hubby and he loved it. Creamy Vegetable Curry p. 183: OMG. SO GOOD. I've never used cashew cream before, but it will now be a staple in my kitchen. This was as good as if not better than any curry I've had. I topped with tamari and roasted salted cashews to serve. Present Glo Bar p. 217: I can see why she was able to sell these things online. They are fabulous. I'm so grateful she has shared the recipe. They are terribly easy to make and quite adaptable. I made some changes based on what I had available and they still turned out great. I will make these often. Super Power Chia Bread p. 229: This was the only recipe that didn't knock my socks off. That being said... with a smear of coconut oil and/or sunbutter as she suggests it grew on me. I was very happy about how nutritious the bread is. I may make it again and play with the spices. Whipped Coconut Cream p. 280: I've made this previously from her blog..but have revisited it with this cookbook. YUM. Buy the book and make this. period. I'm so happy I purchased this book! I think you will be too. **Another update: Some reviewers have indicated it's difficult to keep this book open. Unfortunately this is true. This cookbook holder works well with this book: Euro Cookbook Holder (Satin Nickel) (6"H x 8"W x 5.5"D) It reclines the book slightly which helps to keep it open.

Perfect Cookbook! (my all-time favorite)
Where do I begin? I LOVE THIS COOKBOOK! Not only did I preorder it, but shortly after receiving it, I purchased one for my mom (who is the pickiest vegan in the world, and she loves it). I stumbled upon the Oh She Glows blog a year ago, and I LOVE her recipes!!! In fact, my whole family LOVES her recipes! We also love her. She is an incredibly genuine and wholehearted author, who works hard to perfect her recipes (you can tell!). Let me tell you a little bit about my family. I am vegan. Similar to the author, I struggled with an eating disorder. Now, I enjoy eating healthy foods with good ingredients. My husband is a firefighter who eats meat/dairy (yuck!) at work, and he eats vegan at home (primarily because I cook). He is also allergic to almonds, and I have been able to modify all of her recipes to omit his allergen (she includes substitutes for allergens in her recipes). My son is 2.5, and he is a typically picky/petulant toddler. I also have a 4 month old, who is vicariously vegan. As you can see, we have our hands full! I don't have a lot of time to cook, which is why I love her recipes. They are easy, simple and nutritious. I have most of her ingredients on hand, and I can find ALL of them at my grocery store. As a challenge, I have decided to cook through this cookbook. Since I have only had it for 3 weeks, I have not cooked the whole thing, but I have cooked about 10%, and I have LOVED every single recipe (I am going in order). Additionally, my husband has LOVED every single recipe. My son has loved every recipe he tried (he refused to eat some... this is typical). My son absolutely LOVES the smoothies! Morning Glory is his favorite, and Flu Fighter saved us from a WICKED virus! I felt like I was getting sick, made that smoothie and POW! I felt like a million bucks! The cayenne pepper put a little pep in my step, too! I never got sick. The granola recipes are out of this world!! The clusters are perfect. I have made the Classic Glo Bar 5 times already. My husband asked me, "What did we eat before this?" We seriously forget. These bars are tremendous. My son calls them cookies and requires one bar for each hand. Her Effortless Anytime Balsamic Vinaigrette is my favorite salad dressing of all time. I'm really not exaggerating. I consider myself some sort of a salad connoisseur, because I eat them daily and really spruce them up. As easy as this dressing is to make, it is equally impressive! I buy a dressing similar to this for $5/bottle (expensive). This dressing is better. I would buy this book JUST for this recipe. As a vegan, I often miss chicken salad. The Perfected Chickpea Salad Sandwich is just that- perfected. I have made it twice, but forced myself to stop so I can finish the book. I LOVE IT! My husband loves it, too! The Sweet Potato & Black Bean Enchiladas are incredible, but they were the most work out of all the recipes so far (worth it, though!!!). It took me an hour to make those, and I will make them again. My husband, who is a horrible cook, made the tex-mex casserole, and it was GREAT! The empowered noodle bowl is perfect for pot lucks- yum! Veggie burger is an amazing staple recipe that you can use & easily modify (add barbecue, roasted peppers, etc.). The immunity-boosting tomato sauce is MY FAVORITE PASTA SAUCE EVER!!! One of my greatest struggles as a vegan is parting with parmesan cheese. This sauce is so good that it does not need parmesan cheese; parm would ruin it! I am going to make an XL-batch of this and store it in my freezer. I hope to never eat jar sauce again. Her baked goods are perfect, too. I made her chocolate cake for my mom's birthday. No one knew it was vegan, and everyone raved about it :-) Also, her oil-free chocolate zucchini muffins are perfectly sweet. I hate overly-sweet baked goods; these are just right! My son loves them, too! I really cannot recommend this book enough! I am thoroughly enjoying cooking through this book. It has made meal-planning a delight (it used to be tortuous). We are eating healthier, and we are really enjoying dinnertime together. I own about 15 cookbooks, and this is my favorite one. I cannot say enough good things about it!

Great for vegans and wannabes alike
Having never heard of the author or her blog before, I bought this cookbook with a gift card after noticing that readers had given it great reviews at Amazon.com. IamNotaVegan, but I’m not a big meat eater and I enjoy trying new recipes, especially vegetarian ones. Once it arrived, I went to a couple of different stores in order to track down the ingredients, and tried several recipes. After preparing a few of them, I read through the entire section entitled my natural foods pantry, which provided excellent information about the various ingredients, bought a few more ingredients and prepared a few more recipes. I’ve since made the chickpea salad and veggie burger again and plan to continue working my way through those recipes that I think my family (with two teens) might eat. Best of the book: excellent photography, good explanations about vegan ingredients, some really good recipes. My one complaint: I’d prefer she’d skipped the entire smoothie section and provided additional recipes in the other sections. My specific comments about the recipes I tried are as follows: glowing strawberry-mango guacamole (good, but nothing I would not or could not have dreamed up on my own) classic hummus (the one plus was actually making the effort to purchase and use tahini, in the past I’d always added sesame oil to peanut butter to make it which is also good) perfected chickpea salad sandwich (something I would not have tried to do on my own, I really liked this one) our favorite veggie burger (my favorite recipe, btw, but my hamburger connoisseur son didn’t like it and he’s liked other veggie burgers) present glo bar (good) oil-free chocolate zucchini muffins (I liked this the least, the flavor was nice, but the texture was not great – I like it better with eggs and butter). In summary, this is a great starter cook book for those who enjoy vegetarian food but beware: the ingredients are not necessarily easy to track down (especially if you live in a smaller city). I have since bought two additional copies, one for a friend, and one so that I could get free shipping that I also plan to gift. Also good: Garlic and Sapphires by Ruth Reichl, The Language of Baklava by Diana Abu-Jaber and Cooking Favourites of the American Legion Auxiliary Wishek, North Dakota.

This may very well turn into my favorite cookbook. Ever.
I am not vegan. I point this out because despite not being able to come up with a single thing about myself that places me in Angela Liddon's target market, this is still a contender for my most favorite cookbook in the whole world...and I've barely scratched the surface. I first encountered Liddon courtesy of Google; I was hunting for a lentil loaf recipe and Liddon's blog popped up. I distinctly remember almost passing the ohsheglows result by entirely because of the blog's name, which - probably in no small part because I'm neither a she nor the least bit glowy - sounded a little too twee for me. I made that recipe, and truly loved it - loved it enough that it joined the ranks of my all-time favorites - but it wasn't until I read a review for this very cookbook, accompanied by a different recipe (Thai peanut noodle bowl) that sounded fairly delicious, that I started to consider buying a cookbook new when then only cookbooks I buy ever are used and cheap. (They're hard to justify when the internet is right there, you know?) I'm really, really glad I bought it. I consider a cookbook a win when I find maybe five recipes worth making more than once. This statement may be a tad premature, but I'm pretty good at judging how well I'll like a recipe, and I have a strong suspicion that this one is going to have a (much) higher success rate. One thing I've always disliked about buying cookbooks online is how difficult it is to guess what you're going to end up with. You buy a perfectly normal-sounding vegetarian cookbook and end up with 60 recipes using shiitake mushrooms or three chapters of boring salads that are only slightly different from the salads you came up with on your own years ago. So in light of that, here is a breakdown of the recipes. Breakfast - 10 recipes - including several that sound like they'd be pretty swell at any time of day. Smoothies, Juice, and Tea - 11 recipes - probably the biggest disappointment for me in the book; I'm not big on smoothies, juice, or tea...and when I want something like that, I don't need a recipe to make it. Appetizers - 8 recipes - including a nacho dip that sounds bizarre to this non-vegan. Not bad, necessarily, but...there's no cheese! That one's weirdness is offset by a strawberry-mango guacamole that may have possibly made me drool a bit. Salads - 8 recipes - I'm good with the smaller number of salads included here; I've got salad recipes coming out the wazoo, and never mind that I'm usually pretty good at coming up with a salad all on my own. Some of them are pretty unique, though, and the "Long Weekend Grilled Salad" sounds outstanding. Soup - 7 recipes - A couple of these sound a bit weird, but there are two for sure that I want to make as soon as I get to the grocery store again. Entrees - 15 recipes (or 16, depending on your reckoning...the noodle bowl has two different dressings) - I've already been impressed by the two I've made, and several of the others sound really original and satisfyingly hearty. Sides - 9 recipes - some of these feel a bit like cheating (baked fries needed a recipe?), and I admit, nothing here really spoke to me, but we'll see. Power Snacks - 9 recipes - two roasted chickpea recipes is probably pushing it, but I possibly would have bought this book just for the peanut butter cookie dough bites. The chia pudding parfait is getting made forthwith, BTW. Desserts - 11 recipes - some of these seem like an awful lot of work when I'm perfectly satisfied by boxed brownies, but every last one sounds delicious. Homemade Staples - 27 recipes - this chapter almost made me knock the book down to four stars - it's totally cheating to call things like oat flour and roasted garlic "recipes," and by my count there's only 88 recipes before this chapter, not "over 100" - but I think the others made up for it. You're no doubt getting as sick of reading this as I am of typing it, so just a few other random comments about the book: First, the photography is breathtaking. There are lots of pictures (possibly one for each recipe, I didn't keep track), and every last one is colorful and artful and makes the food look delicious. Second, there seems to be a minimum of weird ingredients. It's clear Liddon has a fondness for chia seeds (never tried them, but now I'm curious), but the fact that I can make a good number of these things without making a trip to a specialty store gets points from me. Third, the recipes I've made - and, from the way it looks, most of the ones I haven't - have a terrific balance of flavors. This stuff may be simple, some of it, but definitely not bland! Fourth, while there aren't any nutrition facts provided - a disappointment, since figuring it myself is so putzy - each recipe has notes in the header with things like "gluten free" and "nut free." And finally, each of these recipes is obviously easily adaptable. I already tweaked the lentil loaf recipe to one that's a bit less of a pain to make (but retaining the deliciousness), and since I'm not vegan, it's pretty clear how I can incorporate real dairy or whatever. (Sorry, but I shall never ever give up cheese. I would rather die. And I'm only being a little facetious.) At the same time, these recipes all look straightforward enough and flavorful enough that I may very well try some of them exactly as written. Now that you've grown old reading this, I'll just summarize by saying that although I haven't made all the recipes in this book, the ones I've made all deserve five stars...and I'm looking forward to trying most of the rest of them. This book has inspired me to cook in a way that I haven't been inspired in a really long time. TL;DR: Buy this. For real.

Meat eaters join the vegan front you will love it
I don't know if Angela Liddon reads her reviews but I hope that she reads this one because every day she is changing my life. I had the feeling that I needed to make some strong diet changes because i just did not feel well and I was eating advil every day because I was having pain, I have a ruptured disc in my back and I have a weight problem so the stress in my back was something that plagued me. I not only felt that eliminating meat was important but I had been hearing things about dairy that bothered me so I thought that making this change was something I just had to try and the husband was going along too because we are both middle aged and we are both on the blood pressure medicine and a statin. So I was looking for a vegan cookbook and here's one with the pretty carrots on the cover ( I never knew carrots came in such spectacular colors) and I bought this book and thank god I did because it was a lesson in cooking that I had never even considered before. I am a good country cook, my mother was raised on a farm and I can by golly fry with the best of em and cook a roast full of tender flavor but it's killing me to eat this way. How in the heck are we going to put vegan in our lives is it just salad's or what? No it's not just salad and no it's not just cold food ( that would be terrible in winter when it's so chilly out) and so I looked to Angela for help and she wrote a wonderful book that I will treasure for the rest of my life and I'm thinking of buying another one for upstairs and keeping mine in the kitchen. The book is written well and easy to follow and if you buy the nuts in bulk not to expensive and if you count what meat costs they are cheaper. The food is rich and creamy and full of flavor, the fats used are good for you not heart clogging and the vegetables are so tasty when prepared with flavors and spices and the smoothies are great!!! Who knew spinach could blend in a smoothie and be just so good and here's the best part which is your skin shines and your hair shines it's like you have taken a tasty health tonic. So and here is the best part and will keep me eating this way for the rest of my life and that is I have minimal pain and I have not needed to take advil in weeks!!! and no more stuffy nose and no more allergy medicine and I sleep better and my husband is not having pain in his feet. we probably just added twenty years to lives and I have saved myself a liver transplant or a heart attack. So Angela if you read this please know that you saved a life in 2014 and if you should have a book signing and I can go I will attend just to say thank you in person for your wonderful book and your talented tasty recipes. Thank you my dear thank you so much with all my healthy heart.

If you like wholesome delicious food, buy this cookbook. Seriously.
I first learned of the Oh She Glows blog in Lindsay Nixon’s Everyday Happy Herbivore cookbook, which includes the recipe for Angela’s famous overnight oats. That was more than two years ago, and I’ve been reading the blog since. I’ve recommended it to dozens of my friends, including men (despite its name and the fact that the content is somewhat woman-to-woman, the info about healthy food and the recipes are helpful for anyone). Every recipe of Angela’s I’ve tried has been delicious – so much so that I pre-ordered this cookbook way back in June 2013. It was absolutely worth the wait. Aesthetically, this cookbook is gorgeous, with colorful photos of nearly every recipe. The chapter layouts are intuitive and easy to use, and Angela’s approach to the content is much like her approach to her blog. She writes in a casual and friendly tone, as if you’re having tea with her, and her recipe instructions are flawless. Every recipe includes a little description, often with a personal story or hints on how the recipe has gone over with friends and family. She’s also fantastic about including tips to preemptively tackle those “oh no” cooking moments…should the batter be that wet? Is it supposed to look like that? How long do I have to wait for these to cool? This is a great cookbook for any collection - vegan or not – and would be well suited to a “split” family. The recipes are hearty enough to please omnivores, and there are a number of kid-friendly or kid-adjustable recipes. It’s also a great choice if you have food allergies or sensitivities, including gluten, nuts, or soy, as Angela provides options addressing those concerns in a large percentage of the recipes. Most importantly, every recipe focuses on whole foods, with minimal processed ingredients. As I said, I’ve tried many recipes from Angela’s blog and loved them all. From the cookbook itself, we’ve so far had the African peanut/sweet potato stew (hearty and nourishing), the portabella fajitas (which my mushroom-shy hubby actually enjoyed and I could live on), original Glo Bars (SOOO much better than store-bought) and the chocolate-almond brownies (when she says let these cool before cutting, she means it - they crumble just like she says they will if you cut them too early. But they were still delicious!). Angela’s recipes use common ingredients, and her pantry section provides a head start on making sure you’re stocked to make virtually anything in the book with the addition of a few fresh ingredients. I have dozens of terrific vegan cookbooks, but this one has taken the top slot. I'm certain it will be one of the most frequently used for our daily meals, and almost certainly my go-to when we host non-vegan friends. If you’re vegan, buy this cookbook. If you have food sensitivities, buy this cookbook. If you want to use healthy food to glow from the inside out, buy this cookbook. If you love delicious, wholesome food, buy this cookbook. It's a well-spent investment in your health - and your taste buds. Oh, and read OhSheGlows.com. PS - One tip: there are a number of bean recipes in the book, and Angela includes terrific guidance for cooking beans from dry in her basics chapter. If you eat a lot of beans, though, I’d also suggest considering a pressure cooker. I received one last year as a gift and it’s been a HUGE help. I usually cook beans in large batches and freeze them, which Angela also suggests. (She does hers in pre-measured batches; I lay them out on a cookie sheet so they don’t stick together, and then scrape them into a big Ziploc bag or other container so I can scoop out what I need.) When I don’t have a certain bean already cooked, the pressure cooker saves the day. Chickpeas take the longest and even those are still done in under an hour. It’s a godsend and worth every penny (and the new pressure cookers aren’t nearly as scary as the old jiggle top ones ☺). We’ve virtually eliminated canned beans from our house this way, and dry beans are much less expensive. Happy cooking!

Amo este libro
Lo uso muchísimo. Y me gusta que al ser la autora canadiense usa las medidas de mililitros, kilos… lo cual es de agradecer.

Excellent, especially for vegan newbies or wannabes
I am not vegan, but as of recently I try to change my diet to plant- based. Being a newbie I am often unsure how to use and prepare ingredients which I can find in my local whole foods store. This book is invaluable when it comes to explaining how various ingredients can be used and added to our daily diet. The first chapter is titled "my natural food pantry" and here the Author outlines what she uses and how. I find it to be a great reference on what to buy and keep in my own cupboards. Following the pantry chapter, the book is divided into the following sections: -Favourite kitchen tools and equipment- this is the only chapter which I found redundant. I really don't see how it is useful to know which gadgets Author is using. It should be mentioned however that most recipes in this book call for a blender or food processor. -breakfast- just brilliant, whether you are vegan or not. So varied and so very healthy. - smoothies, juices and tea- recipes for green smoothies are particularly interesting ( the 'glow' factor) - appetizers- have not made anything from this chapter yet. Some dips, spreads and pestos in there, overall looks like a good selection of healthy snacks - salads- very impressive, there are many salads which seem like refreshingly new ingredient combinations, but winners are the dressings ( lemon- tahini, sweet apple, avocado- dill....) - soup- good, varied selection. These are all full, hearty meals. - entrees- not sure why it's titled as entrees- there are lots of wonderful recipes here for complete meals ( chana masala, veggie burgers, walnut and lentil loaf, broccoli and quinoa burritos...) - sides- this chapter is perhaps a little lacking- roasted veg mostly, but few good ideas nonetheless ( - power snacks- excellent recipes for healthy snacks. The classic glo- bars ( nutrient loaded cereal bars) are just fantastic -desserts- I like my desserts Nigella style- decadent, sweet and far from moderate. I think this chapter offers great ideas for desserts which are just as lavish, but still reasonably healthy ( caramel made from medjool dates and peanut butter is amazing) - homemade staples- excellent resource for those who want to make their own vegan ingredients and condiments ( e.g. Almond milk, cashew cream, grapeseed mayonnaise, chia seed jam, pumpkin butter...) I recommend this book to those who are looking to eat less or stop eating animal based products but are not sure how to start and for those who are looking for interesting, healthy recipes. I think this book balances nicely the trend for meat replacement in traditional dishes ( i.e. Burgers, burritos) with the ultra healthy whole foods eating (i.e. sprinkling chia and hemp seeds on everything). Above all, it's packed with healthy, interesting and balanced recipes. All recipes are accompanied by pictures, short introduction, valuable cooking, serving or replacement tips and detailed step- by- step instructions.

BEST COOKBOOK YOU WILL EVER BUY
I have had this cookbook for 6 months and WOW. I have made over half the recipes and EVERY SINGLE ONE is delicious. I cook for my meat-loving boyfriend and he has liked every dish so far (even though he was skeptical). In fact, he commented that he always feels full but never bloated, lethargic, or heavy after eating them. I gave this cookbook to 5 different people at Christmas from my broke student sister, my very busy lawyer sister-in-law, my friend who lives off frozen dinners, and my VERY talented & avid cook mother. All of them gave rave reviews and for many different reasons. WHY THIS BOOK IS DIFFERENT 1) EASY - Straightforward recipes. Easy to follow steps. Yet complex delicious meals are the result! Even if you think you can't cook, if you can read, you can make these recipes! No fancy equipment or cooking techniques required! 2) CONVENIENT - Every recipe is quick (with maybe a few exceptions that require some oven time or prep time) Also, a handful of recipes call for nuts to be soaked (but even then, there is a quick-soak method). I also personally choose to make all my own beans from scratch, but the recipes include amounts for both dried and canned beans. 3) NO SPECIALTY INGREDIENTS - Most vegan/gluten free/vegetarian cook books I have use a LOT of unique, specialty, or replacement ingredients. They are expensive and not always easy to find. There are very few used in this book. There are a couple (like vegan mayonnaise and vegan cheese- but I found these at the grocery store. Plus if you're not 100% vegan then regular mayo or cheese will do) It also calls for coconut oil sometimes, but again, any oil you have will work. I personally had to stock up on nuts and beans, and get nutritional yeast, but that's about it. Everything else, for the most part, is stock ingredients and fresh fruits/veggies. Anyways, I am usually too lazy to write reviews but this is the best cook book I own. The pictures are also beautiful AND helpful in showing you what you're making! And every recipe shows you what dietary categories it is good for (ie soy free, nut free, gluten free, sugar free, etc). Every recipe is gluten free also, or gives the gluten free option. My only problem now is that I am let down by every other cookbook I buy!

"Oh she glows ! Les recettes : Plus de 100 recettes véganes, qui vous feront rayonner de l'intérieur" existe aussi en français sur Amazon.fr n'hésitez pas une seconde. Je l'ai acheté comme cadeau de Noël. Je n'avais pas vu alors qu'il existait en français!
