Great box awesome size!
I bought this for my daughter, she loves it with all the compartments and such. The box is super sturdy and REALLY big. We didnt expect it to be so large. Well worth the money! I would buy this again and in truth plan to get a few more in the future.

It can fit everything
If your looking for a tackle box to hold everything this is it.Pros- great well built design. Storage for everything. Seems to be able to handle big weights with ease. Side compartments are great. I was concerned they would just flop about but they hold tight even loaded down with lead weights.Cons- rear corner of the top clear lid broke after a few openings. I’m not sure if something got wedged or what. Still happy with it. Also, the top lid design is a little strange the two latches must be open to open both the secondary top and main compartments .. the secondary top has its own latch also.. seems like a missed opportunity for an easy open top.

Flimsy is an understatement
While the tackle box is a good concept, it is way to flimsy. Within a month all four pivot points broke off from the side compartments. Now instead of having all of my gear in one tackle box as planned, I have to lug a main box and two separate compartments. I have tried to contact the consumer relations department at Flambeau however no one ever answers the phone. To make matters worse, they ask you to leave a message except every time the mailbox is full. Isn't that convenient. Perhaps it is full of complaints from others like me. Oh yeah, no one has bothered to respond to my email either. I give up, it is going in the trash. I will buy another brand instead.

Like the style and design layout. Hate the extreme cheapness of manufacture. Fingers crossed on the latches and hinges.
This satchel tackle box is exactly what I need for the lures I will be carrying. I have many saltwater plugs, spoons, jigs and soft eel lures. A couple lures are 13 1/2 in. long, others are 9 in., 7 in.; basically large lures. This box will allow the largest to lay straight and there's enough room for my lures and smaller compartments for terminal tackle (swivels, hooks, snaps, sinkers, etc.). So for my need it's near perfect. The downside is that the box is exceedingly cheaply made. The latches are delicate, some, for the compartments atop the large lid, being just small molded in tabs. As an engineer by education and training, I know that these break very easily, rendering the box, or parts of it useless. Failure will likely occur if the box is dropped while filled (under load). The hinges are also very flimsy and not supported at all. I am disappointed in the cheap quality; it's flimsy molded plastic, especially at a steep $40.+ price point. I'd estimate it cost $3 or $4 to manufacture. Bottom line: For layout and design I would give it 4 or 5 stars. For quality and cheap manufacturing I would give it 1 or 2 stars. So I averaged it to come up with a fair 3 stars. I will update this review after using it and will make changes if my $40. investment breaks like I think it might. Knowing the risks, I'll use this box only for the long lures I intended. All other items, such as the the heavier sinkers and small items like hooks, snaps and swivels (terminal tackle) in a different, stronger box. If a failure occurs I'll probably find the lures but terminal tackle will scatter and be lost.

Poor design - clips fall off - parts shift between sections.
Having owned several different models boxes from Flambeau, I can only assume that their designers were sick when they did this one. The main clips do not stay on, except when closed - they fly off whenever you open the box (I have tried this out on multiple of these boxes). The top section is extremely difficult to open, requiring quite a bit of finger strength to push and pull in multiple directions at the same time. Yet the parts shift between sections in the top part, so if you don't mind the compartments being more like a suggestion than a firm division between different components, then that might be okay for you. The side boxes are also a little awkward to use. Get a different box from this manufacturer or someone else.

No lures in the water, no fish.
I now am able to condense all my tackle boxes into two FLAMBEAU SUPER MAX boxes. I fish mostly walleyes, bass and northerns with some lake trout and salmon. So I have many spoons, spinners and bait rigs to contend with. These boxes have exceeded my expections. Having these boxes also cleaned up my boat, It's great to have tackle available quickly. No lures in the water, no fish.

good tool box but ...
I use mine for mechanics tool boxes for the compartmentability and see-through tops. Very good for that but has problems with latches convenience, especially the side foldout ones.good price though.
