Spelling Book: Words Most Needed Plus Phonics by Dr. Fry

This is great. I am a special education teacher and was looking for something that could help me find words for students who are below grade level, but even for my students, the 1st grade words are too hard for my 3rd graders.

Easy to use. Concise. Our son is able to walk his way through the lessons doing well on the test at the end of the week.

Have just received this book and begun using it with some of my students. So far, it's fairly straight forward and easy to use. I just wish it had more assignments and larger print for the rules/phonics reviews.

Like this book. Has great lists to use.

Dr Fry found that 300 words make up 65% of all written material and those words are here. Very valuable resource for home or classroom.

Great book. I am using this with a variety of student levels. It is important to me, as a teacher that student make authentic connections and therefore learn the "words most needed," plus have some word study and phonics tossed in.

Love the book but it is printed out of order and missing lessons. Contacted Amazon and they are fixing the issue. Great resources though.

I prefer the The Orton-Gillingham Approach to spelling
