The Art of the Middle Game (Dover Chess)

It’s not only about openings...
Yup- as Harry Beltik says to Beth Harmon in the Netflix Queen’s Gambit- “What’s your plan?” She says- to beat you? No- you can’t be an instinctive player, you’ve got to have a plan. Either attack your opponent’s Queen or King side. This book shows many ideas how to do this. Getting better at my openings, but still struggle with planning my mid-game. Play through this book and you’ll definitely get there. Can already see I’m starting to push my millennium electronic chess board with varying strategy.

the notation is not algebraic as we know in most of the chess books
I’m trying to finish reading all the book to see if it was helpful for me or not , but one bad thing about this book in my opinion is that the notation is not algebraic as we know in most of the chess books, it is different and difficult to read.

Worth it without a second thought…
Solid build, smooth pages, great content. Useful resource to improve on the royal game. Its not even that hard to be used to descriptive annotations, literally took few mins to learn and a bit practise to be smooth with it..

Mejora tu juego significativamente
