100 Classical Themes for Flute

Purchased for my music library, in anticipation of being asked to perform special music at a private event such as a party or wedding. Was not disappointed with my purchase.

A nice collection of classical pieces, some in odd keys but still okay. I would have preferred for the excerpts to be longer and there be less pieces but overall a nice selection of common themes.

This is a cute little book. The music isn't very challenging, I would say beginner to early intermediate. There is a decent selection of fairly recognizable songs. I was hoping for longer music, but most of the songs are only a few lines long.

Arrangements are not exciting, nor is there much to recommend this over and above other similar offerings. Nothing special in this one.

This book is good for my 13-yr-old to practice her flute during the summer. The book is in a good condition especially for a used book.

I bought this for my granddaughter who plays the flute. I am "technically impaired" when it comes to music but I picked a winner!

This is a great way to keep practicing your instrument and I do enjoy playing my flute. This will keep me practicing for awhile.

Great book for beginners with nice melodic tunes.

Full of well known classical music pieces of varying difficulty..good for beginner to intermediate levels (2-4 grades) only downside is there is no piano accompaniment so not fully suitable if looking for performance pieces. But great for fun and getting back into flute playing.

Exactly what we wanted. A departure from the hatefully plinkety-plonk material used to teach the flute that seems to be almost a deliberate attempt to bore the student into giving it up. Christ, the stuff he has to play! Utterly without musical merit. This material is fun, beautiful, challenging, recognisable, the sort of music, if played well, that can stop people in their tracks.

Maybe I was naive, but although there are indeed 100 pieces in this book, they're not complete pieces & some only stretch to less than 20 bars long. I expected 100 pieces of at least a whole page per piece, when in fact, some pages feature 2 or 3 pieces such is there shortness of length.

Just a bit of light relief from flute practice. - zero learning value really, but it does make the wife keep saying "I'm sure I know that..." . Very short extracts

Ahhh...I’m too busy to dig into my flute just now...maybe the next century...live long and play I say!
