St. Rose of Lima
This is a great book for children doing research about Saints, especially particular Saints such as the first female saint of the Americas. A little pricey for the book, 6.00 would incld. ship would be a better purchase.

awesome
My daughter loves all of Mary Fabyan Windeatt's books. This is no exception. She's a wonderful writer for elementary school children. Even into junior high. I've used these books to create puppet shows for younger children as well (using the dialogue). One of the best writers for Saint stories!

Excellent read, for children or for any age; also for adults who want to get to know Saint Rose of Lima.

Negative review
The written language was 1949 and very outdated for Catholicism today. Such a shame for a wonderful person's life of dedication. Needs rewriting

Bought for 9yr old for confirmation
Book was set at an appropriate level to engage a child and therefore a good choice for anyone choosing St Rose as their Confirmation saint's name.

Great story. My 6 year old daughter really enjoyed it especially the part where Jesus helped St Rose learn to read and write.
