We have a chocolate lab with extreme anxiety. She is on an anti anxiety medication daily but even then during storms or fireworks she is a wreck. We wanted to give this a try instead of having to give her a sedative every time we had a storm. This has definitely been helpful and reduces the severity of her symptoms but she is still relatively reactive even when wearing this.Ultimately I would still purchase it because it still helps the severity.We found the sizing to be accurate.

My dog gets very stressed during a thunderstorm so I bought this with the hope it will make her feel better. Of course since I purchased it we haven't had a storm, but I have put it on her for short periods of time and she is very happy when she has it on.

Great fabric and seems like excellent quality. It wouldn’t have been great, but sadly1. It was so hard to put on because it’s impossible to close all the Velcro properly if the dog is moving around- like mine wags her tail insanely so she’s really wiggly.2. The sound of all the Velcro basically causes MORE anxiety. It’s CRAZY LOUD to open all of them.So I guess if your dog stays still and won’t have a panic attack when you open the Velcro, it’s a great item. Otherwise, you’re out of luck :(

I really love this thunder shirt specially the color for my Zoe girl... I had ordered a large for her but it was a little snug for her liking. I returned because of her size. I am ordering an XL for her for she is a Red Bone/Dutch Shepard... and has gained a little weight.... I see no issues with moving forward with the XL size. I transitioned her into the Large so she does have the feel for it and is liking it besides the snugness of it. The couple of times that I have put it on her we can see the difference in her. I don't want it to be too tight on her I want her to feel comfortable wearing it. And believe with the XL she will 100% feel more comfortable and so will we. I would highly recommend a thunder shirt for your dogs. This is the second one I have bought. The first one I bought was for my charlie boy. He is a Black Lab/ Cocker Spaniel he is Terrified of thunder and fireworks and loud noises always has been he is 12 years old now. I had bought him a medium thunder shirt love it and so does charlie boy we have all seen the amazing difference in him on storming nights and around the 4th of July my only mistake is not buying him one sooner. He sleeps so much better on nites like these. He would come and lay on me just shaking and he felt he couldn't get close enough and hide under the blankets and shake. Not no more he lays there all stretched out and relaxed like he doesn't have a care in the world.... Love it. Even though I miss him waking me up in the middle of the nite to help comfort him, I wake up finding myself checking on him to make sure he is ok to find him laying either by my feet or on the side of me just stretched out sound asleep and that is a good feeling on stormy nites... Now my Zoe girl is a barker and very antzie... even though we take her to dog classes.... which helps with her bordomness at night is the worse with her barks just to bark and does the scrathing thing on the mattress beds and carpet like she is digging a hole. The few times I had put this thunder shirt on she didn't do this. I took the thunder shirt off to resend back to reorder the XL size and boom here we go again back to barking and scratching like she is digging a hole. Can't wait for the XL thunder shirt to come in, can't come in soon enough... It sure has been a life saver for both of my dogs. Absultly Love them. I really loved how it fit my dog and how much it helped her anxiety! But what I don't like about it is how it collects cat and dog hair! I tried washing it, but that only made it worse. So now that it's full of hair and washing doesn't help, it is sitting in a heap in a corner of the laundry room...how disappointing!!!!

First I'm going to start off by saying that the Large fits my 45lb Lab/Boxer mix perfectly. However, I'm using most of the velcro so if your pup is even a little bit tinier, I'd go with a medium. I'm also going to mention that my girl has the deep chest of a lab so that might help her fill it out a little more.Now for the anxiety. Ever since our move, Callie's separation anxiety has gotten increasingly worse. She'd destroy things, dig at the door, try to break through the window. This isn't due to a lack of crate training. This is due to the fact that she was managing to break out of the crate. I'd come home sometimes and the crate would still be locked but she'd be out free. So it was pretty clear that this anxiety was becoming a hazard to her health and it was causing a lot of stress for both of us. Spending a few hours at the park before I needed to leave for class or even a short trip to the store helped, but that's not always possible.This shirt changed my dog. Before, she would jump up and run to the door at the very sound of my keys jingling. With the thundershirt on, she barely looks up from what she's doing. I no longer have to dodge out the door before she can squeeze through as well. She stays wherever she was before I got up to leave, be it with a toy or a treat or even just laying down for a nap. On occasion, when I come back, she's not even waiting by the door to greet me. I've found that this is the case when I pair daycare or the park with the thundershirt. On days she doesn't go to daycare or the park, she still greets me at the door, sometimes even in panic mode, but that's the only sign of any distress while I was gone. Nothing is destroyed and she's much easier to calm down.Is this the magical fix? No. But it helps and does more than I expected so I strongly recommend it. You will still need to exercise other fixes if your problem is as serious as mine, but I'm sure if your problem is less severe, this is the only step you'll need to take.

works amazing for my 10 year old husky's anxiety. she likes wearing it- which is surprising and she has had no accidents in the house at night when wearing it. the second i put it on her she seems much more relaxed. its weird to explain but i wish i would have bought it sooner.

I’m not sure if I got ripped off. It’s just a plain shirt. I don’t understand how this is any different from all my dogs other shirts. Looks to be of super poor quality, not impressed.

En nuestro caso no es para tormentas ni petardos, es un perro especialmente nervioso hasta el punto que creemos que le empieza a afectar a su salud. Quisimos probar nada más recibir el chaleco y la verdad es que se relajó bastante, parecía estar súper a gusto y confortable con él. Hoy hemos repetido y la actitud es la misma, parece que le “baja revoluciones “por lo que de momento podemos decir que es efectivo.Queremos comprobar que en situaciones de “novedad” (que son las que le excitan en exceso) funciona, pero promete…Muy contentos con la compra!
