We decorated them with stickers and markers and the kids loved the idea that they had a personal decoration for the holidays for their bedrooms. They are thinner than the door hangers you can buy at the local craft store which was disappointing when they arrived but that was my own fault for not reading the description closer. Some of them arrived rather bent and marked up but luckily a white eraser removed most of the dirt.
