It's nice looking and essentially does the job, but there is one design flaw--the height of it. I purchased the wax beads separately and, luckily, those came with their own tea candles, which were shallower/shorter than the normal ones you would typically buy in a store. This item (Stove? Wooden spoon holder? Chimney?) sits over the candle with the spoon sitting on top, so the candle melts the wax from below. However, even with the shallower tea candles, the bottom of the spoon got scorched. Yes, I was doing a lot of cards, so it was on there a long time. However, the picture I included was taken after doing only two cards, so it wasn't on there long. I'm not sure if a regular tea candle is going to damage it or be a fire hazard, so I'm a little leery of it.
