Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastards Books 1-3 in the Series (Set Incldues: The Lies of Locke Lamora, Red Seas Under Red Skies and The Republic of Thieves)

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this new author, but am pleasantly surprised and engrossed in this trilogy. A tale of some very human and likable scoundrels in a world so realistically created as to pull you in and keep you reading. I’m deep into the third book and already both looking forward to the conclusion and wishing it didn’t have to end.

Book 1 is engaging and well written. The story is fascinating and the character development is quite elaborate.

This trilogy is great. That's it - you should give it a read.

Really good book series with fantastic world building. If you are a fan of fantasy this is a must to pick up. Love the characters and the shenanigans they get into.

I’ve read these before. It does take a few chapters before you get hooked though. They are a great read!

I love keeping physical books of the favorites. The story is fantastic! The built-in drama, mysteries, conversations, and women and men are equally bad-butts without being obvious about making it a point. The second book though, the pages are absolutely see-through and shiny and the slightest finger touch/swipe will smear the ink. I had to take extra precaution on keeping the book pages open without touching the prints. I know I can't re-read the second book because too many pages have gray smudges.

I've been waiting for the fourth book, The Thorn of Emberlain, for the past seven years. I know it'll be worth it but I'm damned impatient and this is my favorite series of all time.
