Muc-Off eBike Dry Weather Chain Lube, 50ml

Works as described , good product

Sods law as soon as I used it it rained BUT it has healed up I believe it would be fine for a couple of hard showers then you would need to re apply goes on easy a little goes a long way

I thought I'd try this for my new Ribble Endurance SL e road bike & seeing as this says it's made specifically for electric bikes. I've been using the standard Muc Off dry lube on my othe bike for years & I swear by it, so I had high hopes for this, especially as it's ceramic too. First impressions were that it was very thin in consistency & is very runny, I went ahead & put a good drop on each link & then geared up & down the rear cassette to spread the lube thoroughly. I then wiped off any excess with a clean cloth like suggested. I then rode my bike in dry weather for 50 miles. On my return I noticed my chain (which is brand new btw) was really black & when I run my fingers over a link & rubbed my fingers together, I realised it was a thick paste like substance. Instead of degreasing again, I wiped it through an old rag & then reapplied (again wiping off any excess). Then after a 62 mile ride in sunny conditions, I then decided it would have to have a full clean & relube. So using the standard Muc Off dry lube I can easily get 3-4 rides with one application (sometimes with a little top up after 2), before it's looking this dirty. I'm not actually sure if I will buy this again tbh, as I'm totally underwhelmed.

Ich bin absolut begeistert und hätte so ein Ergebnis nicht erwartet. Habe jetzt nach 700km den Antrieb mit dem Parktool CM 5.3 Kettenreinigungsgerät gereinigt, die Kassette,Ritzel vorne und Schaltwerk auch so gut wie es geht und dann das Muc Off Dry Chain Lube aufgetragen. Nach 4 Stunden das überschüssige abgewischt und dann weiter über Nacht trocknen lassen. Heute dann die ersten 20km gefahren und was soll ich sagen, noch nie so Butterweich gefahren und auch das Schalten ist locker 50% leiser geworden. Ich bin begeistert. ❤️

Da quando ho preso l’e-bike mi sono accorto subito che catena e trasmissione vengono massacrate molto più velocemente rispetto a una bici normale. Tra coppia del motore, polvere e giri più lunghi, alcuni lubrificanti dopo due uscite sembravano già spariti nel nulla 😅 Con questo Muc-Off E-Bike Dry Chain Lube invece la differenza si sente davvero. L’ho usato principalmente sulla mia e-MTB per uscite su sterrato asciutto e strade bianche. Dopo aver pulito bene la catena, ho applicato poche gocce come consigliato e già dal primo giro la bici sembrava molto più fluida. La cosa che mi ha colpito di più? Il rumore. Prima avevo il classico “cric cric cric” da catena assetata dopo pochi chilometri. Con questo lubrificante la trasmissione è rimasta silenziosa molto più a lungo. E quando una e-bike smette di fare rumori strani sembra quasi nuova 😂 Provato veramente sulla mia pelle durante un’uscita parecchio polverosa: a fine giro la catena era ancora ben lubrificata ma senza quell’effetto “impanatura” piena di sporco che mi capitava con altri oli troppo appiccicosi. Il colorante UV è una chicca interessante. All’inizio pensavo fosse una trovata inutile, invece aiuta davvero a vedere se hai distribuito bene il prodotto sulla catena oppure se hai esagerato. Vantaggi che ho notato rispetto ad altri lubrificanti dry: Trasmissione molto più silenziosa Tiene bene anche sulle e-bike che stressano parecchio la catena Non attira troppa polvere e sporco Bastano poche gocce, quindi dura parecchio Il tracciante UV aiuta a non trasformare la catena in una piscina d’olio 😅 Piccoli svantaggi: In condizioni umide o fango perde efficacia abbastanza velocemente Serve applicarlo con un minimo di precisione perché è abbastanza fluido Il flacone da 50 ml non è enorme se usate la bici tutti i giorni Per il mio utilizzo in condizioni asciutte è uno dei migliori dry lube che abbia provato finora. La bici scorre meglio, la catena resta più pulita e soprattutto niente rumori metallici da “carro armato medievale” dopo metà uscita 🚴‍♂️✨
