It works great if your shoes have metal eyelets. My sons did not and I decided to purchase anyway. It was a struggle to get these through his shoes! When I finally did it I realized the size was too small and tight for his foot. I used the smallest in the pack and worked my way up his shoe. I figured he’d need the smallest size, seeing that he’s a toddler and wears a 4. Nope. Way too tight. He kept untying his shoes so this was a perfect option. It was tricky to get on but that is also the great part because then the kids can't get them off. My son does have high arches so after trying the laces with the smallest pieces and it being too tight I changed to using the bigger laces and it is perfect. Tight enough right now but still has room to grow.
