This thing is pretty great, and honestly way easier than you would think 1. Plug this into your computer/tablet It should show up as some kind of storage device. It has about 0.5 gigs which isn't a lot, but for an audio file, it's plenty. 2. Select the audio file you want to add to the device and drag and drop it into the device If for whatever reason the new file is too large, you can delete the pre-existing files by simply selecting them and deleting them. I did this from the start to make things simpler. The instructions that come with the device don't really make it clear how to select just one audio recording. To make things simple, I just have one recording on the device. 3. After you have the audio file you want on the device, and have safely unpaired/unmounted from your computer/tablet, install the device where you want it. It comes with some plastic mounting hardware, but I used a command strip because it's more apartment friendly. 4. Enjoy! In my video the device plays the opening to the haunted mansion ride. It has a switch on the side for volume and power. All the way to the top is high volume, the middle is low volume, and the bottom is off. It's that simple! Hope this helps 😁

After a lot of searching, I settled on this device for my yard for halloween. Extremely pleased with my choice! The device is extremely small, but whacks a great punch in terms of sound! It's able to reach very far in terms of detecting motion. Up to 13 ft. In my video, you can barely see where I hid it. I made sure it gets pointed out to you so you can see how far away it was yet I am still able to hear the audio very clearly from where I am standing. If you want to hide it even better, like I did, put some black tape over the red light that turns on when the motion sensor activates. It does not interfere with the function of the device if this light gets covered.

Ordered 2, one didn’t turn on. When looking up a video on how to download a music file. It suggest a micro usb- don’t waist your money the micro usb fell into the slot. You have to use the cord it comes with to connect to your computer… go to finder and look at location the devise will be called “no name” When downloading music I had to buy the music from Amazon- not Amazon Music and down load a MP3 converter to convert music to MP3 then I had to edit music to only 2 mins as the internal storage does not hold that much. After all of that I would say that I am satisfied with the result.

UPDATE *********** DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS UNLESS YOU WANT IT JUST AS IT COMES WITH THE THREE MESSAGES PROGRAMMED ON IT. AFTER REPEATED REQUESTS TO THE SELLER FOR CLARIFICATION ON HOW TO ERASE AND RE-RECORD MY OWN SOUND ON THIS DEVICE I WAS STILL NOT ABLE TO DO SO. INSTRUCTIONS ARE LIMITED AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS WORSE. I USED TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF COMPUTERS AND OPERATING SYSTEMS AND WE STILL COULD NOT ERASE THE SOUNDS. TOO BAD, IT SEEMED LIKE IT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A HAUNTED HOUSE. I was very skeptical when I first bought this and only bought one to try out. WOW! Was I surprised. I immediately bought four more. I'm going to use this in a Haunted Museum and it will be perfect. It was easy to reprogram my sounds onto it and the volume levels are unbelievably strong. The speaker has really rich, deep sound that I'm still trying to understand how it does it. I did have to buy a power adapter because I didn't want to have to replace batteries in the middle of a show night. I did ask about that because the instructions leave a little to be desired and did not get an answer but the power supply I bought works great, so I'm a happy Haunter. Hope these stand up to working four hours a night for 7 nights.

I purchased four of these PIR recordable soundboxes for our escape room haunt and they were exactly what we needed, with a few issues that had solutions. First, when I tried to upload various sound files it didn't seem to play anything but the first sound. Being a zombie moan, it got quite annoying. However, when I saw the preexisting files on the second player, I realized it was user error. The files must be named '1', '2', etc. without any other identifier. The second issue I had was the usb plug on one player. My computer wouldn't recognize the soundbox. I took the cable that came with the first one (that didn't have issues) and it worked. If I had only bought one, I would have thought it was a bad unit. Not sure if a usb cable for a phone would work, but I suspect it would. The third issue I had was with volume. At the lower setting it is still quite loud and therefore tinny. To overcome this I turned down the volume on my files using Audacity's free software. I was able to hide one in my zombie's shirt, leaving a small space for the sensor without hindering the functionality. Overall, this product performed perfectly for our event and I will be a return customer.

Motion detection works well, sound is loud, but only has three sound choices. You need to download other sounds, and instructions are too small to read. Worked well for my purpose, chasing animals from under my deck.

Excelente producto. Se le pueden meter sonidos en MP3 y en evento de halloween da muchísimo juego al tener una muy buena detección de movimiento incluso con humo en el espacio, además de ponerse en sitios poco visibles.

Tiene poco espacio sin embargo, es perfecto para lo que lo usaré, el sensor funciona y los fos niveles dd volumen suenan muy bien !
