I found a YouTube video (17 min) that goes step-by-step on how to put the machine together. I followed it exactly and had zero problems. The laser itself (500MW) works very well. I build a lot of military coin displays and other military-related products and so far, the laser has not had any issues. It took a little bit of research on the Google Machine to figure out how to tune the laser and make sure it's perfect, but I am very pleased with the operation of this machine. I have used it close to 20 hours (of actual use) and it has always turned out very nice. In the cases where the engraving did not turn out as planned, it was operator error. The accompanying software is more intuitive than I thought it would be. It didn't take long at all to figure it out after testing on a few pieces of scrap wood. I have not used it for anything other than wood, but the results have been very nice, so far, on oak and maple. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Pretty Great Little Laser and Great Customer Service *by K***R on December 8, 2018* I've done quite a few pieces with this laser machine and I've been pretty surprised with how easy it is to use once you get used to the program and how the laser works. The customer service was great! I had a laser head go out for whatever reason and I contacted the seller and they replied to my email almost instantly and has a New laser on the way in no time.Set up was a little challenging but really following along with the video they provide is the best way to go. The only other tricky thing is knowing where your image will end up on with what your burning. The program does have a button that says test size and that will show you a square of where you image will be which can be handy but it's important to note if your image has any white space around image your burning I've noticed it will only keep the bottom and side portion and then remove the top so if you don't remove the white space in Paint or what ever photo editor it can make your image be misplaced.Really other then that a really great little laser especially for the cost. I just have an air purifier next to it and that helps a lot with the fumes. Still a little burney smelling but I'm able to stay in the same room and I don't have to open a window in the winter. During the summer I can just open a window a crack and have a fan blow the fumes out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ i like it *by B***K on December 6, 2018* I have a cr-10 3d printer. So i thought this would go nice with it. I was going to use it to cut stuff but its more of an engraver. It could probably cut wood if you dont mind waiting a while. I decided to just get a CNC kit next instead. But i will say this Engraves REALLLY nicely. But use NC mode not picture mode for the engraving with the software. It converts the JPG or whatever into a block path.
