In NY it’s a great 9 month a year item, although we used them inside for a newborn who was born in June, due to air conditioning. Bought one and was so happy I then bought more. I mostly use it as a blanket for the car seat, or swaddling the lower half of my son (he hates not being able to move his arms, and is a swaddle escape artist). I love that it is soft like a receiving blanket, but a much more usable size (as my son grows, the flannel receiving blankets are being used more as burp cloths than anything else, as they don’t stay around his legs - he’s 5 weeks/11 lbs).

Love the large size, the softness, the patterns. It is a heavier weight flannel, so very cosy. Not for a hot day, though. In NY it’s a great 9 month a year item, although we used them inside for a newborn who was born in June, due to air conditioning. Bought one and was so happy I then bought more. These are lovely, soft, and washed and dried beautifully. They are just as shown in the photo with little dots. Well sewn. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful - but I think these will last longer than we need them.
