Sturdy. My horse paws a lot and would constantly tip over her food container, so I thought I'd give this a try (with the hopes of getting her food out of 'pawing' range). It worked...but my horse is also very smart and she knocks it off the panel with her nose. She sometimes kicks it around before I get in there to pick it up...but no cracks or chips. So I'd say it holds up very well. I notice there is one hole on the top of each of the hanging hooks. Perhaps it is for attaching to the panel. This feeder easily fits one gallon-sized bucket of complete feed.

Did not work very well I bought another bird feeder

We have a mischievous Tennessee Walker who has torn down every feed trough we have built. This feeder had good reviews so we decided to give it a shot. Three months later and, except for some scratches, it still looks brand new. Plus, they travel well. We bought 2 more for the other horses. This is the way to go.

Don’t be fooled by the picture, they will send you a DARK green bucket, not the light green one in the advertisement. If you’re looking for a good hanging feeder, there’s nothing special about this one. Buy one from your local feed store for half the price. Thought this was something special with the color, but it’s just false advertising.

Still in use today! Horse have kicked them, chewed them,yet they still look great. They stay on the fence very well. Great buy
