Not bad
Good enough for the price but I’d recommend paying the extra and buying the other GVM light

Affordable video light, good quality, good price
The media could not be loaded. This is my first light, I bought it on Amazon, from GVM, is the 560AS Video Light. It is small, light, it comes with a nice handbag where you can put the light with the power and accessories. Inside the box you find the light of course, the power, cables and soft light panel, and manual on how to use it and link it with your device. It has two knobs to change temperature and brightness and a small LCD where you see the actual value; the temperature range from 2300K to 6800K. It also has a remote application to use on iOS or Android, that connect with WiFi to the light and you can change these settings remotely, nothing fancy but it does the work. The power consumption should be 30W at max power, that is less than an incandescent bulb light I suppose, so nothing to worry about.Since the light is quite light, it does not require an heavy light stand, this one from Amazon perfectly suit my need. From my small knowledge about lights, I have to say that even for a small set, indoor, you might want two of these light at least, with only one light and no natural light coming from the outside, the ambient can still be a little dark.

Budget Lighting With Professional Quality.
I purchased this light for a YouTube Channel I've started to make reviews and how to videos about drones. This light far exceeded my expectations when I recieved it. Upon opening the package, you are presented with a very nice protective carrying case for the light panel itself, and for the power cable. In the box there is the light panel, power cables, barn doors, and a diffuser plate. The light panel is attached to a bracket for mounting on a tripod or light stake. As far as lighting performance goes, it has great color temperature settings and brightness capabilities. Best suited for a front to angle faced flood light. Plenty bright enough to properly light your subject from upwards of 10 feet away. The included diffuser is a nice addition if you desire a softer light. The wifi enabled app works flawlessly and smoothly with little to no latency from the inputs. Easy setup too.The included power cord as around 10ft long and is easily stored in the carrying case. It can be also powered by 2 standard Sony studio light batteries. Will definitely be ordering another :)

Wow, This Was a Big Upgrade - Great Video Light
I have purchased a few smaller lights to do some basic lighting for video on YouTube, for work, and family fun and decided to purchase this unit to up my game. Talk about an upgrade! The money I spent on this made my purchases of the smaller lights I had been using all look like toys! This thing puts out some serious light, and has mad my video look like I leveled up 5 notches. The brightness and warmth are adjustable on the back side, or a quick install of the GVM Easy app, following some decent provided instructions, and you can control it from your mobile device. This makes getting the lighting pretty easy in a light controlled room (like my basement lol) and you can keep track of your settings and get really great re-cuts of things you missed and they look like they were cut in a continuous stream which is where I was having issues in the past (smaller lights just can't be stabilized and re-set like you can with this baby) - my videos definitely look way more pro with this light. I wish I just would have bought this first (and I may get a second now). I didn't get a chance to use the battery (it takes 2 NP-750's - not included in the kit) but the provided cord and DC converter make for all day use anyway in my application. The connector make it easy to mount to a light stand and the barn doors and tilting are easy to move, but stay put easily. The bonus was it also comes with a nice carrying case that is semi-rigid and more than enough to protect the unit when I take it with me.Pro Tip: On Android when you pair to the wifi on the light, my phone would jump to a better wifi signal in the house, and the app wouldn't be connected to the light anymore. I later noticed when I paired to the device again, it had a pop-up that said "don't ask again" and let me stay connected to the (what my phone thinks is a poor network) wifi on the light, and it just works like a charm.

Solid quality all around
I use the GVM 580 mainly with a softbox. Without any type of diffusion, it's quite bright, I'm guessing about 600W tungsten equivalent easily, and I love it. For such a small panel it's very versatile and compact to travel with. The unit is solid aluminum with hard plastic sides and a solid plastic piece on the back allows for lighting adjustments, attaching batteries or a power cord. I also like that the GVM's use actual Kelvin color temperature units in recognizable white balance numbers instead of just a "white/yellow" dial like some others use. On a professional set it's just easier to reference an actual color temperature number instead of guessing if all lights are the same which is a huge benefit for me at this price range. The smart control phone worked flawlessly in tests and is a plus. The light really does produce a really soft, bright light. The fact it works with Sony NP's is great. The light seems sturdy but will report back after I see how they hold up in the field.
