My main concern was that it had a finer mesh to catch smaller particles and I'm very happy to find that it does. I had three other very fine mesh strainers but this one is about double in fineness, or in other words we'll catch much smaller particles than my other strainers.It also appears well made so I'm really happy with this purchase.

I use mine for tea. It is very solid and washes well. It works well for making tea and straining the tea leaves. Well worth it!

I make my own Mocha Iced Coffee. Part of the process is having to strain coffee. I had been using a different strainer which had larger holes. That means I had to strain my coffee four or five times to remove most of the coffee grounds. That was irritating to me because I also would have to rinse my coffee pot and strainer. Then my pitcher and strainer. This had to be done every time I strained my coffee.I decided to look around for a strainer with smaller holes. I found and ordered this one, hoping to eliminate straining more than once. I wound up straining my coffee three times. First, from the pot into a pitcher. Then back into the pot. Then once more into the pitcher. I like this strainer because it’s smaller and easier to handle. I wish it handled the reason for why I bought. I should have realized that when something is strained the possibility of some of the product getting through is always possible.I was not happy that the wire mesh on my strainer was crushed. I was able to reshape it. And the crushing did not effect the performance. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it completely back into shape. All I wanted was a faster way to make my Mocha Coffee with less work.

Nice fine strainer

We use loose tea for making chai, and use these to strain the tea before drinking. Works great, fits perfectly into our cups, no spilling or anything. We put them in the dishwasher and they come out clean, so very low maintenance. It's really quite handy.

Much larger than I need. I want a tea strainer to set on the top of my teacup.

I use it for my loose chai tea and it works great!It sits nicely on any cup and stays put.Worth the money

I ordered two strainers just in case one got damaged .Pleasantly both pieces arrived in pretty good condition. Nice size , sits well on tea cup / mug and the tea leaves/tea dust did not go through the sieve. Sadly within about one week of use ,the strainer is rusting , even though it is suppose to be stainless stell. Will not be using it any more and will return the unused other one .Overall very functional, but for rusting .
