Zildjian K Series Dark Crash Cymbal - 16 Inches Thin

As always, Zildjian puts out a quality product. This is just what I expected. GREAT sound and quality.

Beautiful sounding cymbal. Never been so satisfied with a cymbal purchase. The tone is the tone I was looking for and now considering changing my whole crash setup for this series.

It has a great tone

I simply LOVE this cymbal. I did have an issue with the packaging (which I noted to Amazon.) It came in a box that was three times the size of the cymbal and must have gotten clobbered in shipping. The cymbal was actually "popped" (turned inside out) when it came out of the box. (Wait, did I order a China cymbal?) Some gentle coaxing righted it, seemingly with no issues. Thankfully, you can do that with a thin cymbal. Hopefully, they'll do a better job packing yours. But the product itself is fantastic. Great sound, articulation, and "voice." I've got a 16" "A" thin as well, and they work very well together.

This is a beautiful cymbal, and I have always admired the K series from Zildjian. I found the only downside , for me, was it seemed when you would strike it, it had a very long sustain. I was looking for a cymbal that would cut out quicker.

The crash has a great dark sound and came very promptly. The thing I was disappointed in is that the description says "new" but it is clearly a used crash. There are the marks from it being on a crash stand and also scratches on the crash and some discoloring on the back. I felt like I had been a little deceived and am disappointed in Amazon. I know these crashes usually go for a long time but I would still like to have the comfort to know it is a new crash. I need it for a performance I am playing in 2 weeks, so I don't have time to return it but I hope that this is an exception and unintentional.

I love this cymbal. It opens up well with mallet rolls. It creates a pleasant crash sound when crashing lightly with sticks on the edge, or it is capable of a bold, more aggressive crash, when struck with more vigor. As advertised, the sound decays quickly, in a nice way. The *ride sound* of this cymbal is merely decent, but that is actually fine, given that it is a crash. Otherwise, the collective sound(s) is/are terrific from this beautiful cymbal.

This goes with my 22” ride very well. I actually bought a second one for my sister.

This crash is absolutely stunning in sounds, looks and quality. I’m a big fan of the Zildjian K range, and already owned the K Thin Dark Crashes in 17/18/19 sizes.The 20” is full sounding, and beautifully dynamic. Played lightly it delivers a rich and warm cushion of sound, but give it more and you get more. It’s not a cymbal I use all of the time but for atmospheric rock or blues or anything where you want a crash with lots of power and character it’s great.It also works very well as a light ride, highly recommended.

Nice cymbal but as soon i opened it i noticed a small dent on the edge of the cymbal. Being a thin cymbal i'm not going to risk it turning to a crack so decided to return it. Amazon probably need to do better at looking after these cymbals and making sure packaging is appropriate.

Una cosa è certa: i piatti andrebbero sempre provati prima di comprarli, soprattutto quelli di alta fascia e fatti in netta prevalenza a mano. Questo perchè anche se trattasi del medesimo modello, molto raramente due o più piatti suonano uguali! Ma quando parli di Zildjian qualunque piatto acquisti, non ve ne sarà mai uno che suona male! A mio avviso solo la Ufip nei prodotti di fascia alta insidia il podio alla Zildjian... Certo costano molto più di altri, ma un piatto Zildjian dura una vita intera! Questo per i modelli K, Acustom, Kerope e Costantinople... Le altre produzioni Zildian sono di fascia media e medio-bassa, ed a mio avviso altre marche (tipo Paiste e Meinl) hanno un rapporto qualità/prezzo migliore. Ma se vuoi il top, a mio personalissimo gusto, Zildjian e Ufip non hanno uguali!E questo Zildjian K dark crash thin 17" che ho comprato era proposto ad un ottimo prezzo quindi ho voluto acquistarlo e... non me ne sono pentito!

I bought this cymbal to match up with an 18 inch K Dark Zildjian crash that I already own and as expected from Zildjian, it is a great cymbal. The two cymbals sound awesome together. I love the dark shimmering tone of these cymbals. They explode with a beautiful dark but cutting crash, and they decay fairly quickly, which is what I wanted. The 20 inch even works well as a ride and I love the glassy cutting sound of the bell. If I could give this cymbal 10 stars I would, but you can only go as high as 5. If you are thinking of buying one of these for your drum kit, go ahead and buy it, you will not regret it.
