You can use Iglu Protect in two ways:ON YOUR BRACE: You can use Iglu Protect as soon as you start wearing your brace, to make a soft padding over any parts that are sticking out, thereby helping to prevent rubbing.ON SORES OR ULCERS INSIDE THE MOUTH: You may also want to use Iglu Protect on any mouth sores or ulcers already caused by your brace. It comes out of the tube as a dryish paste & it's important to use a dry finger to apply it to the problem area using a wiping action to leave the paste in place. After a few minutes it reacts with saliva to turn into a smooth gel & you can use your tongue to gently smooth it out during this time. After about 10 minutes it will have formed a smooth & stable cocoon which, in my case, brought great comfort & it can last for quite a long time providing you don't melt it away with a hot drink! Dry the area round your tooth then warm wax slightly between fingers, mould into rough shape and push into your filling gap. The igloo stuff forms a layer,it may work but try the wax too. Hope this helps. I find using the entire wax strip more beneficial. The area has to be very dry for the gel to stick and do it’s thing but if applied correctly, it really helps avoid rubs and heal sore areas.
