KLUTZ Grow Your Own Crystal Mini Worlds Craft and Science Kit

Definitely more of a project for mom to do while kids watch but really fun end result.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.(1) The air-dry clay arrived ruined. It can’t be used and is a main part of the craft. It’s almost sponge-like. We tried to revive it with water but can’t.(2) You need two types of mason jars with lids to grow the crystals - 4oz and 10 oz. I happened to have 4 oz, but I spent an additional $15 ordering 10oz. Of course we didn’t learn this until opening the kit and reading the instructions, causing a pretty disappointed little girl to have to wait several extra days for the jars before we can start the crystals.

This kit was thoughtful and my kids really enjoyed the process. UNTIL we finally tried to construct the mini world. The air dry clay was completely dry, which meant we had nothing to stick our crystals or accessories in. Which meant...days of waiting for nothing. It's just past my return, so I guess I'm just stuck with a disappointing product.

I got this for my kids and I to do, first off I love that it has a big book of instructions, trouble shooting and tips! However when I opened the box and was going to check everything, the clay was dry in the bags and they seem to have air inside. So I tried to use water, nope they crumbled, looked like cottage cheese didnt want to stick back together after chopping it up. So I'm going to have to go get some air dry clay from the store.

Fun product for kids!

I bought the first one as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She was so excited. She got through all the step then was ready to decorate and the air dry clay was dried out. We sent it back and the replacement came AGAIN with dried out clay. She is so upset and doesn't want me to send back so I now have to go buy clay which is going to cost me the price of the craft. Very disappointing.
