Having tried lots of ways of “protecting”, the carpet by the door to one of our cats favourite and forbidden rooms, finally a solution.She either no longer paws and scrapes to get in to this particular room, or if she dies it’s now silent and of course the carpet is now safe! And no longer suffers vigorous plucking…Only disappointments…. It is rather expensive and the supplied sticky pads are a bit weak, (although in our case somewhat unnecessary).So overall a good buy.

Only thing that has stopped my cat scratching carpet but found it expensive for what it is

Easy to fit, had to cut it to shape at the corner, but my doorway is at an angle.The cats haven't even attempted to scratch it. The plastic is very thick and the adhesive stickers ensure the mat doesnt move. I wish I'd known about it sooner, would have really saved my brand new carpets!!One of the best things about it is that it isn't a tripping hazard. Because the plastic is of such good quality and the adhesive patches work, the mat stays flat.I would highly recommend

I needed these to protect my carpets around the doorways in my house. My cats try to dig their way through door ways if the doors are shut. These protectors are strong and need robust scissors to cut them to the correct shape around the door frames. I found that there were still a couple of centimetres of exposed carpet near the door frames, which my cats have tried to get at. Fortunately, it seems that a) my carpets have been laid properly, so they don’t lift up from the metal strips under the doors and b) my cats haven’t worked out that they can still scratch at the carpets in those exposed places. What they have now started to do is to try to lift up the plastic protectors, which is too difficult for them to succeed at. It’s very annoying at night, because they seem to enjoy the noise that they make as they try to lift the protectors, but I’m pleasantly surprised every morning, to find that the exposed carpets are still looking good.I’ve given them a 3 out of 5 because I was expecting to be able to cut the protectors to fit more closely to the skirting boards and be more reassured that my cats won’t ever be able to hook their claws into the carpets.One thing that was very disappointing was the parcelling that they arrived in. The protectors come in a soft plastic packet. I ordered 4 protectors and expected one parcel with 4 protectors inside. Amazon decided to pack each protector in a separate cardboard box. Each box was huge, so I ended up with 4 huge boxes outside my front door, stacked to almost the same height as me! I’m not short, so I was very cross at the waste of space and materials that Amazon used, especially as each box was stuffed full of scrunched paper so the protectors didn’t move around in their boxes. Such a waste, which was difficult for me to transport to my local recycling centre, even after collapsing the boxes and the packing paper to the smallest that I could.

I thought this was expensive at first but it’s really well designed and robust. Would recommend.

Waste of money, do NOT recommend. An extortionate price for a bit of thick plastic sticky pads (that don’t even hold it properly on carpet). My cat is still ripping up my carpet from the edges as when I placed this protector on it was at the edge however even with the sticky pads it moves and she’s able to still destroy my carpet. Wasn’t cheap so I’m pretty annoyed it hasn’t even worked a bit!

Doesn't stick to carpet at all. But once in place it ok as a deterrent

I enjoyed this product. It stopped my cat from tearing up my carpet under the door, but he can pick up real speed on the plastic mats. His paws get going really fast and it can be loud, but the product does what it should. Still a bit expensive for what the product is in my opinion

My cats are adorable but clawed a hole to the floorboard at the corner of my door, ugh! Bought this hoping that it would put an end to that and it did. For great in my doorway and I made sure to measure first. I also bought a shock deterrent mat that I put on top of this, and no I don't believe in hurting my pets I love them so much. But my door being scratched all night long was too much. I needed to get sleep! All it took was one little shock and now I have such restful sleeps and they stay away from my bedroom door. In the morning they greet me and I give them lots of love and breakfast. But this mat on is own works great at protecting the floor.

Seem to work well. Did not use the adhesive.

Seems to work pretty good I think it's a little overpriced though.
