Bandai Hobby - Gundam UC - #100 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode), Bandai Spirits HGUC 1/144 Model Kit

I was surprised by the level of detail in this High Grade 1/144 Unicorn Gundam! I did hope that it could transform, but this version does not. I have come across some 1/144 scale models online that they say transform from Unicorn to Destroy mode, but they are expensive, seem to be online exclusives hard to get outside of Japan. Well, understandably it's not a big deal to me. You do have to be careful with the V-fin as you take it off the tree. Too much pressure can easily snap it. I've made this mistake a few times. The pose-ablity is good! You get a little extra movement at the shoulders, 90 degree bend at the knees, decent movement on the head and arms. The shield can attach to the arm or the backpack. You get a little ammo pack that can attach to the skirt armor at the back. There are 4 beam saber handles, but no beam sabers. It seems that you have to buy the 1/144 High Grade Unicorn Gundam in its Unicorn mode in order to get the beam sabers, but if you have more gundams, you can easily use one from them. The pyscho-frame is clear red color, and it really looks nice. There are a few bad nub marks to watch out for, so be ready to cut, file, sand them down, etc to get rid of them. There are a few stickers which I really like! I am not a fan of stickers. The stickers go on the eyes, 2 white shoulder parts, the gun scope, and the light on the head. You will have to paint the ammo pack if you want the colors to match the anime. Other than that there is really not much need to paint or panel line this kit, which is an added bonus for me! I don't like to paint either. I also bought the 1/144 Banshee Destroy mode High Grade, and 1/144 Banshee Norn High Grade kits. They both are the same height, and they both are a little taller than the Unicorn Gundam Destroy mode. This is a very nice kit to add to your 1/144 scale Gundam collection!

While not a perfect kit in terms of the amount of accessories you receive, this kit is perfect for a beginner to Gunpla. From opening the box to starting to pose the final product, this kit took me a little under 6 hours to complete. The end result is incredibly satisfying.The amount of pieces gives the result a great level of visual intricacy, which works in tandem with the white and translucent red color scheme. The amount of sticker decals used is minimal and even if they dont look perfect close up, don't look too bad at a distance. The Unicorn stands at around 6 inches tall and while not very articulate, looks amazing in darn near every pose you put it in. A wonderful addition to my High Grade collection

One of my favorite Hg builds thus far,it being my eighth Hg. Everything about this model was perfect-poseability(taking into consideration the expected limitations of not being Burning Gundam haha),overall completed look once assembled was beautiful,if you're picky there are some panel lines that need detailed but honestly you're not losing much if you decide to leave it as is out of box, it's still nice. Is taller than all seven of my other Hgs when side by side,a also took a little longer to build but not by much. A total of FIVE stickers! So you won't have much to stress over there either. As for the seller I purchased from,(HOBBYONE) they have all my interest in future purchases of gundam models-ordered on June 25 and received on July 5th which was 20 days before the earliest expected arrival *from Japan*. Absolutely recommend this model,its good whether you're a beginner or seasoned builder of gundams.

This is an excellent Gunpla model and is probably one of my favorite designs. The clear contrast of the white with the transparent red really gives it an elegant look when posed up on a stand. However, issues arise with some of the smaller pieces being very fragile and breaking easily, particularly the arrows that clip onto each ankle. Fixing them was very much a hassle, but that can be held accounted by the fact that I do not use clippers to remove my pieces. The completed model looks very nice and has a surprising amount of pose-ability. However, this is not a figure I would leave without panel lining, as the plain white throughout looks bland with nothing to break it up. There are very few accessories that come with this kit, having only one single extra hand as apposed to the many that most High Grades come with, and only one gun and a single shield. Even given the price point, I have purchased other models for only a few dollars more that make this look like a joke. I was the most disappointed in the lack of beam saber effect parts, as they give you handles for them (granted, he has no hands to hold them). However, these flaws don't detract from the final product enough to make me think poorly of it. This is a very fun kit that give a very accurate recreation of the machine from the anime. All in all it definitely needs some second hand work to make it look better, but after applying details, the figure looks great. This is a great gunpla to build Easy assembly It's very durable True to size Every thing was in the box when delivered, nothing missing It's better than other mech models and will be buying another soon.

Não recomendo se esse for o seu primeiro kit. O modelo é todo molenga, articulações dos cotovelos soltam toda hora. A V-fin cai só de olhar pra ela.

Le montage a été sans problèmes, tout s'est assemblé facilement, les autocollants collent bien, et le résultat final est sensationnel. La figurine est assez grande pour sa gamme, le rouge transparent rend magnifiquement sous la lumière, ça a vraiment du style! Attention à certaines articulations (épaule,coude) délicates à faire bouger quand même. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas d'épées en plus du simple fusil. Sinon, point sympa, il n'y a quasiment rien à peindre si on veut le même rendu qu'en photo.

Arrived in the mail 7 days before earliest estimation for arrival. Absolutely loved this model. I have built warhammer models, and i found the paint that works on those to be really good for adding carbon scoring on the outer armor and shield which makes it look really good. Pros: Amazingly easy to build, not difficult to pose, holds it's own weight, beautiful model, light paints stick well and add great detail, lots of articulation in the arms and knees. Cons: No beam effects included for the beam sabers(It's a Gundam for god sake, you'd think it would be a given they'd need them), The V fin and attaching piece easily fall off so you may want to glue them on, The v-fin is completely yellow whereas it should actually be yellow at the front and white at the back due to the splitting of the WHITE horn when it triggers NT-D. I found the lack of beam effects annoying, but used the leftover transparent runner from the Psycho-frame parts to make my own beam effects, so i guess it all worked out. Can't wait to finish painting this thing. It was my first Gunpla, and by far will not be the last :3
