Great Beatles Piano Solos
I started teaching out of the original version of this book about twenty years ago. This version has a few more songs included plus all of the songs from the previous book. Not all of the arrangements are great, but some are stellar - Eleanor Rigby, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Lady Madonna, Ob La Di Ob La Da, etc. Several of my students love The Beatles, and their parents always enjoy the songs from this book, too. It's a very worthwhile collection for the arrangements that are really good.

Bad arrangements
Like the other review says, the songs are unrecognizable

Music okay but no lyrics!
The music is written advanced enough to satisfy intermediate piano players. Very unfortunately, however, no lyrics are given for any of the pieces! There is really no excuse for this. I've had to write them in myself, which is a poor substitute and harder than you'd think. Any subsequent edition of this should definitely include the songs' lyrics!

Interesting arrangements
Nice solos - interesting to play. But no lyrics.

Review of the Beatles Piano Solos
My piano teacher recommended this book to me. I have always enjoyed the Beatles music and these pieces are fairly easy to learn and enjoyable to play - not too hard, but not so easy! I will have many hours to enjoy playing them.

Horrible
This book is complete garbage. The arrangements are super ugly and infantile -- barely recognizable at Beatles songs. Don't buy it -- a waste of money. These arrangements are so bad Hal Leonard doesn't even credit the arranger.

Nice arrangements.
I am grade 5-6 and I found playing these pieces fine with a bit of practise. I liked the fact that there were some more unusual songs in this book which I don't have in any of my other books. They sound like the real thing. I would recommend.

Very nice if you want more than just the melody line.
This makes a change from the usual sheet music versions of pop hits. On the downside, there are no lyrics or guitar chords. But on the plus side, you get a lot more than just a melody line to play. With a score of this quality, the guitar chords are redundant anyway. It would be nice if there were lyrics, but I guess there are copyright issues on that.

All you need is -these arrangements.
Bought as a Christmas gift- it was well appreciated and the arrangements are excellent for the beginner/moderate pianist.

Very happy
Nice arrangements, my skill level is a solid grade 7 with some grade 8 so somewhat on the simple side for me, but still beautiful and very easy to sight read and just sit down and play without having to practice. No lyrics but everyone knows the music so well already that we don't really need them.
