They are awesome and have a fine point, easy to use, good color selection, do not bleed and easy to write with when you need words in paint. ❤️Them! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars They work fine for smooth rocks *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2023* Nice variety of colors, as you can see from my test swatch on white paper. I wish the 2 blues and 2 purples were not so similar in color, on the rocks they are indistinguishable. Very fine tip but it seems sturdy, I will test that out on 3-4th grade boys on Sunday at church. The nib does catch on any texture on the rock and can spatter if you are trying to go to quickly, and if you angle the nib, the paint doesn't come out. That is just how paint markers are. Get as smooth a rock as you can find. The drying time is very quick, maybe give 30 seconds before going to next color so they don't bleed - longer if you are painting on top of a color. They are somewhat opaque, but one coat isn't sufficient on a darker rock... and my rocks are not very dark in my photo. If you want full coverage, I would paint a white layer first, but not with the paint pen since it would take you forever because of the fine tip. On my rocks I made the letters several thicknesses wide so they would show up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Box 1 was great, box 2 not as great *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2024* I have purchased several different brands to paint on primed and painted rocks. After using water based, I loved how the colors pop and really liked them for writing words and sayings. I did try a more expensive brand, but after quite a lot of use, I ordered a second box of these. I liked them better and they werent as temperamental. Box 2 looks exactly the same, purchased a month apart, but the second box of pens is just not as fun to use as the first. The writing isn't coming out as clean and clear, or lines as straight and I got some spattering which I did not have with box 1, which was frustrating. Even so, if I could buy the black and white fine points separately, I would.
