10012 Solid Brass Squeegee, 12-Inch , Gold

The Ettore 10012 Brass Squeegee has exceeded my expectations. It arrived on time, very well packed and in perfect condition. Unlike squeegees commonly used for cleaning windshields, the Ettore has a soft rubber blade with a square edge which allows it to flex. This proved to be a major feature when I cleaned the second story windows on my house using the Ettore 16 foot extension pole (highly reccomended). I was concerned that I would not be able to apply sufficient pressure with the pole fully extended to enable the squeegee to work properly. In fact, because of the soft flexible edge, it worked flawlessly. I was able to clean my windows in a very short period of time but the main thing was that I didn't have to get up on a ladder in order to clean the upper windows. One caveat on cleaning the upper windows with a pole: because the pole was fully extended and at a fairly shallow angle to the window, I was only able to squeegee the lower half of the window to about 3 inches of the bottom due to interference with the window sill. I was able to easily clean that area from the inside. I used a solution of 1 teaspoon of dish detergent to 2 gallons water which did a good job of cleaning and left no streaks. I applied the solution with the Ettore washable microfiber scrubber (also highly reccomended). In short, I am very pleased with the product and the performance. The money I spent changing over to squeegee based window cleaning was well worth it...it does a better job than spray cleaner and paper towels in a small fraction of the time and, by eliminating the ladder, is significantly safer. I definately reccomend this product.

Works as expected. The color is a little flashy but the quality seems good.

This product works really well on standard windows. The only caveats I'd give are that squeegies are hard to use on the new style of windows because they have such a flat slope at the glass edge; and also be sure not to get one too big. They can be hard to use on small panes. Still, if you want a squeegie, this one is awesome. Rubber is soft and supple, and the brass will not corrode.

I first bought this squeegee in November 2020 (for $13) along with the 18-inch (for $15) because I wanted something more durable than plastic and more reliable than brush attachments, and both have done wonders for my car windows and windshield. The medium-weight gold-colored handles look and feel tough and sturdy, almost as if they could be a great self-defense weapon if needed! The blades themselves are easy to replace and with a few swipes (and the right cleaning solution), clear away everything from flies to ink and mud stains without leaving any streaks. I cannot comment on their effectiveness on other kinds of windows as they are only used for the car, but presumably they would perform similarly. The “Ettore 10012 Solid Brass Squeegee, 12-Inch , Gold” and the 18-inch are great introductions to effective, long-lasting (they still hold up to this day) squeegees and for all of this they get a respectable 4/5 stars!

I ordered a 12" and an 18" version of this product. They were delivered on time and the rubber squeegee blade was protected from indentations during transit. I was all of my windows every Sunday (OCD - yes... but also we live in a salt air environment). These squeegees work like a champ - perfect results. We have many large sliding doors out to our lanai, pool and the water (one door is 10' high and 32' wide) and these squeegees give us a perfect view and cut my whole house (one level, but tons of glass) glass cleaning ritual to under one hour. I also use them when cleaning the glass on our half walls in each of our three bathrooms and also for the very large mirrors throughout. Great great product. Look no further.

First its top quality and made in USA - hard to find for this item. You can buy replacement parts on Amazon and direct. My teen agers used it to clean the house windows and it worked great. No streaks; no issues; no complaints. I like the polished brass construction - not going to mar your window if you happen to make contact. You can't say that for the aluminum or steel holders from China. The only negative is they use a proprietary attach mechanism if you want to add an extension handle. However I found a standard thread handle inserted with some duct tape worked just fine . . . Definitely recommend this squeegee.

I have five sliding doors, 8 foot tall. It left them all clean and streak free. It took 1/4 of the time that it would have taken if I had used a cloth and made the windows much clearer than with the cloth. I am very happy with the purchase and would definitely buy it again..

High Quality Squeegee that works great for daily cleaning of our shower. The blade is replaceable, although so far I have just bought a new run (rather than polish the metal).

As said in an earlier review of the washer thingy, we were advised which one to buy by one of our neighbours who was a window cleaner for a few years. Buy cheap, buy twice they say. This is a brilliant squeegee and really cleans the windows well. Had cheaper ones before and always get streaks on the window. This is so good, no streaks. Make sure you clean after use with warm soapy water ( not hot )
