This cane is wonderful!
I had originally intended to buy the Hurry Cane. I had used a quad cane for several years and the Hurry Cane looked to be what I now needed. However, after reading negative reviews on multiple sites, I saw that reviewers were looking into this Tru-Motion cane. I chose this cane based on the reviews and the youtube video demonstrating it in use. I received it in 2 days, which was amazing!! And after a brief adjustment to using it, I will never use another cane!! I have noticed it has improved my posture while walking. I have a more natural gait walking with it as it is keeping my bad knee at a more natural angle. I saw a few reports of the foot seeming to stick out...after using for a few hours, I did not even notice that. The way you hold it while walking keeps it close to your body and does not really stick out very far at all. I doubt it would get in the way unless you were standing very very close to the person next to you. There is no noise issues with this whatsoever. The foot is grippy so I have not had any slipping or sliding issues yet. I have walked in grass, on gravel, on a slight incline, on carpet, ceramic tile and steps, all with no issues yet. I have no problems with it supporting my weight (270lbs). It seems very sturdy and well built. Oh it is very light in weight! If you have used a quad cane like I have, this is so easy to pick up. It is very easy to put in and out of the car also. I have been using it for several weeks and wanted to pass on as much info as I could about it. I would definitely recommend it. I have one minor complaint - it does not stand up well by itself. I am used to stopping and needing my hands for a moment and I am finding myself needing to pick it up or lean it against something. I think I might write to the company and suggest a hand strap. Hope this helps someone.

USING LIFETIME TRU MOTION FOR YEARS-THIS CANE IS DEFECTIVE
8-31-23 UPDATE AT ENDI bought the first LIFETIME CANE IN 2013 FOR MY HUSBAND as his strength and mobility was deteriorating. He passed in 2015 and I kept his cane. Starting in 2019 my strength balance and mobility started to deteriorate. I started using the Lifetime cane outdoors. It is everything in the written and video ad. My 10 year old model still stands on its own. I cannot understand complaints about the placement of the foot. One thing the video and ad DO NOT MENTION IS --- If you drop the cane you can just step on the foot and the cane will popup. I hope no one will not try this and complain the and popped up and hit a hand or leg. Be careful the first time. After that use commo-n sense. I am 87 years old 4' 11ins and am ordering another Lifetime cane to use in inside my house. -8-31-23 UPDATE. I RECEIVED THE LIFETIME TRUMOTION CANE. IT ARRIVED DEPRESSED TO SHORTEST LENGTH WITH THE ADJUSTMENT HOLES VISIBLE BUT NO VISIBLE BUTTON TO DEPRESS AND LENGTHEN THE CANE. THE SHAFT WILL NOT TWIST TO POSSIBLY SHOW THE BUTTON

Very Pleased
This is an excellent cane. it is almost as stable as a quad-cane on a flat surfaces;and significantly better than a quad-cane on uneven or graded surfaces. Equallyimportant is that it does help to restore a natural gait. (One tends to lean into awalker, rollator, or quad-cane.)The tip reminds me of a golf putter. The design is simple, but effective. I own astandard cane, a quad-cane, and a rollator. The rollator is very effective for longwalks and when I need to rest. The quad has been my go-to device for in-houseand stairway navigation. The standard cane is used mostly to compliment thequad for side-to-side balance. (I previously used the standard cane for everythinguntil a nasty fall changed my comfort level.)I bought this cane because a quad can be somewhat cumbersome at times. Thisis especially true on uneven surfaces. This cane is wonderful. It has enough floorsurface to help me to get into and out of chairs. I feel comfortable using it to walkshort to medium distances, and to circumnavigate stairway. It is not perfect, but the imperfections are minor. The handle is well padded, but Idon't think it will last as long as the handle on my standard cane. Also, it could usea loop strap to attach to the wrist. Yes, the description says it will stand on its own,but that is not the case on most surfaces. It will lean nicely against a wall withoutfalling. Thanks to shape of the "tip."I would certainly recommend this product to anyone that needs help with walking, but does not need to use a walker or a rollator.

Steady and secure
It takes a little practice to adjust your stride to the action of the cane, but it's not difficult. The cane gives you good stability and works on many different surface types.

Excellent and better alternative to four-pronged, unsafe "quad" canes
I am a licensed physical therapist and own a physical therapy practice. I already own this cane and loan it out to patients, as I had purchased it direct from the manufacturer at a conference several years ago (just after they began producing them). I am glad to see that Amazon has it, as previously these were very hard to find. I just purchased another from Amazon to keep in our equipment collection (mine is on loan to a patient). There are two major benefits to this cane as compared to standard single-point canes and quad-canes:1. The rocker bottom allows the cane to make contact with the ground through a full step while the user puts weight through it, resulting in a faster and more normal gait (walking) speed. Slower gait speed is directly correlated with fall risk (not necessarily a cause of falls, but there is an association between the two).2. The user can actually bear weight through the cane without fear of the cane's foot slipping out from underneath. Because of the shape, the user can bear weight at multiple angles as he/she walks. With quad canes, the user can really only bear weight on the cane when it's straight up and down. With a single point cane ("regular old cane"), the user really shouldn't bear weight through it and should use it only for balance. These are excellent devices and I would love to see them replace those ridiculous four-pronged nightmares. The fact that Amazon is currently selling them for under $30 is icing on the cake.

Excellent if you have balance problems
Bought for my father in law and a great success. Gives him confidence as it is more stable than a traditional walking stick.
