Very Satisfied!
Very pleased with this product. Delivery was swift. Great product for the price. I received the grill today, took it out of the box, carefully read the simple instructions, washed and dried it in hot soapy water, rubbed the cooking surface with a little oil, filled the ring with water as directed, preheated the grill over MEDIUM heat, on my gas stove (it fit perfectly) and placed my marinated Korean boneless, skinless chicken thighs on the cooking surface. This grill heats up very quickly, and in no time I had absolutely juicy and delicious chicken thighs. My apartment only smelled of the delicious aroma of grilling Korean barbecued chicken thighs. This product actually GRILLS, rather than steams, with the fat running down into the liquid ring ( I like this healthy option), and the chicken had a nice char. I also basted it half way through cooking with fresh marinade. No smoke, no splatter, no mess, no smoke alarms going off in my apartment, no neighbors banging on the door. I didn't even turn on the exhaust fan. I washed the grill by hand, and cleanup was a snap!! Can't wait to try veggies and shrimp next. For some reviewers who had problems with smoking and splatter. Follow the instructions carefully. Do not cook on high heat -- you really don't need to, this grill gets plenty hot on medium. Fill the liquid ring with 1/2 cup of liquid. Do not place frozen food on hot grill, thaw first. If using marinade, drain the food and pat dry before placing on grill surface. Trim excess fat from meat and chicken. Maybe not the best option for huge thick slabs of meat, use your outdoor grill for that. If grilling burgers use lean ground meat. I think this grill works best with boneless cuts of meat and chicken. Pay attention, and do not over cook. Happy indoor grilling. Cheers!

Baby, it's cold outside so let's grill inside!
First, let me say I wish I could give this a 4.5 star review but I can't. My only "complaint" is that I wish there was a better owner's manual. The manual is a basic piece of paper with "how" to use the product on the stove top (electric or gas but not a flat-top), oven, and outdoor grill. However, I wish they could have gone into some basic recipe tips such as how long do you cook chicken, pork, beef, and/or vegetables. I read another review and saw a general time frame. Okay, so this REALLY WORKS! I cut some large chicken breasts into smaller tenders and marinaded in a Caesar Ranch dressing for several hours and then sprinkled some Paula Deen's House Seasoning on it. I preheated oven on med heat and once I could see the eye of the burner turning a slight red I put the Stove Top Grill's drip pan on the burner. I used a measuring cup and filled it the grill with water (Pic 1) right below the lip where the edge (pic 2) would lay. I let the water come to a slow boil, that's when you hear it "sizzling," sprayed the grill with non-stick cooking spray (also pic 2) and then I placed the chicken on the grill (pic 3). Pic 4 is about 8-10 minutes into the cooking process. Pic 5: I placed lid over the grill because I wanted to contain the chicken on the grill surface and not let it slide on to the non-cooking area. Pic 6 is about 30 minutes into the cooking process. Pic 7 is after about 40 minutes. Pic 8: I coupled the grilled chicken with a homemade sunflower bacon salad. The chicken tastes great...the pieces that stayed in the center of the grill seemed to cook and char faster but the ones that cooked over the vents seemed to have a more moist texture to them. During the cooking process I added more water about 20 minutes into the drip pan to prevent it from drying out. As a previous reviewer mentioned: The cleanup was a breeze. I used non-stick cooking spray; which could have made it easier. The entire pan and grill look just like it did when it came out of the box. There is a slight and I mean very slight discoloration on the bottom of the pan where it came in contact with the burner heat. I am clinically diagnosed OCD and it's so small that it doesn't even bother me. It's the hue you would see after you use pots and pans for a while. Regarding a smoke effect because you're grilling...there was none while I was cooking. I could hear the water/meat sizzling but no smoke. The only time I got the slightest hint of smoke (actually a light fog if you wish) was when I was trying to rearrange some the chicken. I accidentally hit the grill hard enough that some of the liquid from the drip pan spilled out and made contact with the burner element. I priced several indoor grills and some were $50-100. I saw this one and read some reviews and it was being promoted as Amazon's Top Choice. Now I know why. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in grilling indoors. I can't eat beef and pork so I will only be using mine for chicken. I plan on trying some vegetables and my next endeavor will be to use it in the oven. I may come and do an update if/when I do that.

Ingenious!
So pleased with this item! I have just moved to an apartment where grills are not allowed indoors or on our balconies. With storage space at a premium, I was looking for a compact way to grill indoors without making a huge mess or setting off the smoke alarm. This little grill fits the bill perfectly. I used it to grill my first summer hot dog. I even toasted the bun on it. CAVEAT! You MUST put water or liquid in the lower tray to avoid smoke. Without liquid or water, the juices roll off of the dome, splash on the hot tray, and create smoke. One more important point to describe the grill. The lower tray is similar to a tire rim. There is no center. The inside circle on the rim of the tray encircles your stove’s flame. Heat rises up through the center opening to heat the dome. The dome has slots around the perimeter, which are directly over the trough in the tray. This allows the juices to flow from the dome directly into the trough without splashing on the stove. I must admit I was extremely cautious, not knowing what to expect, but my fears were unnecessary. This is a very cool little item, brilliant engineering. Both pieces washed off easily, and I could have put them in the dishwasher if I chose. Perfect item for my needs.

Works ok, still has smoke & takes a while
I still use this for burgers because I can't seem to find anything else that cooks them with grill marks and makes them taste great, BUT it does take FOREVER to cook them because you can't put it any higher then medium because it says it can't handle high heat...to be fair I'm cooking them on my glass top stove so that might be the issue. They really do clean up nicely though. Which is why I hate using my foreman for burgers because its soooooo hard to clean it.
