Alimens & Gentle French Cuff Regular Fit Dress Shirts (Cufflink Included)

I got introduced into French Cuff shirts a few years ago- and I like them but then I did very little since. Recently, I decided to replace some of my dress shirts inventory. I looked and saw these. First thing I saw- the price. Very reasonable. Other shirts were almost twice as much. The general appearance was adding to the attraction. For the price- worth trying it. The sizing is spot on. It feels much like my tailored fit shirts. The shirts are lightweight and breathable. The laundry care instructions are pretty easy to follow. The only change is I had to use the low setting on the dryer. I have not experienced any shrinkage after washing these shirts- but I have only washed these a handful of times. Color is pretty good and consistent. The varieties of choices - I’m sure you can find something. The included cuff links- they are ok. I have several others but it’s nice to have additional links.

These are really, really nice dress shirts. I was hesitant at first. I have worn hundreds of dress shirts over the last 45+ years. I love these. They not only look fantastic, they feel fantastic. There are so many little bits of tailoring that make a huge difference. These are shirts that you can wear all day and still look professional that evening. These shirts are breathable with just the right amount of stretchiness. There has been no shrinkage. They are easy to care for and wash, either professional cleaners or even at home if a little care is taken. The cloth is light weight without being sheer.

Brand new, but they appear to be well-made and the fabric feels good, not flimsy. They required ironing out of the box, and they ironed easily on a low setting. I think I will like these a lot. I don’t know about wrinkle-resistance yet. POSTSCRIPT. The cuffs seem oversized. PPS. I have worn this shirt for a while and like the fit, feel, and appearance, but the cuffs are really too big. This is a really quite nice looking shirt in my big and non-standard size (19x37-38) which are usually hard to come by or only available in a limited number of colors and styles and usually only on an expensive basis (this shirt comes in 40 different colors/styles). The fabric is 60:40 cotton polyester mix and somewhat more substantial/weighty than most common white shirt fabric, and in a twill weave that gives it a nicer fancier look and feel. Bought it specifically with the french cuffs for my elder son's wedding next week, and as a bonus came with a pretty decent looking pair of silvertone cuff-links. Bought the same shirt in a much smaller size for my younger son who is also in the wedding and his came with different silvertone cuff-links. In the Amazon listing they say cuff-links are included but style is random. Have only tried it on once and it fits very well for a full figured guy like myself, but then it went to the cleaners for a pressing and starch after which it looks great. It is now hanging in the closet w my suit til the wedding. So I cannot tell you yet if it develops and/or holds wrinkles more or less than other shirts. Only reason my elder son (the groom) did not get one for him is that his in-laws gave him a gift voucher for a completely custom made and fitted dress shirt from a high-end tailor in town. But he honestly like the look and feel of mine as much if not more than his custom one.

I recently purchased four Alimens & Gentle dress shirts for a series of events overseas. While the material quality and overall design are workable, I was disappointed with the sizing. The shirts were not true to size - both the neck and sleeve measurements were about two inches larger than what the tags indicated. This made the fit noticeably loose and less polished than expected for formal wear. If you're considering these shirts, be mindful of the sizing discrepancies. The craftsmanship is solid, but the misleading size labels could be a deal-breaker if you need a tailored or accurate fit.

The shirt is of good quality and at a good price. The fabric is substantial with nice body. The fabric has a very small herringbone pattern throughout. It reminds me of a formal dress shirt but it’s herringbone rather than pique. The fit is mostly true to size, but the neck is a bit larger than expected. I have a belly and the shirt fits well around the middle…this isn’t a slim fit shirt. The sleeves are a full 35” despite being labeled as 34/35. There is only one hole for cufflinks so there is no adjusting the sleeve length. The collar cannot accept stays and there isn’t any plastic etc. The weight of the collar holds its shape well. There aren’t any pleats or darts in the back of the shirt: plain back. The length is fine, and neither too long nor to short. It did not come untucked all day. It is a dream to iron, but I consider it only average for wrinkle resistance. The cuff links it comes with are cheap and garish. The collar is a medium spread and classic rather than exaggerated. The color is absolute pure white as it should be. All in all, it’s a nice conservative dress shirt with a bit of swagger with the small subtle herringbone pattern. I’d buy it again.

The shirt is very nice. Fabric is heavy with texture, looks like it will last a long time. Fit is about right. This shirt was pictured with very nice silver cuff links. But it arrived with tacky gold cuff links I'll never wear. Each shirt and each color in the ad had different cuff links. I assumed that shirt came with those links, but I guess it's just random. Cuff links were a big disappointment. If it wasn't for that, I might give it 5 stars.

The size is not accurate very large neck and short sleeves and once returned .. the shipping on your own cost !!

Beautiful shirt. Good quality and comes with a rather nice pair of cufflinks which was a nice surprise. Arrived promptly. Purchased as a gift for my son and he was really happy! Recommend
