I did this on my own and I had lots of trouble getting the film on and getting the bubbles off and after it’s been on for a few days now it’s starting to release at the corners so I’m not really sure if this is gonna work for me

These are a little tricky to install, but well worth the effort. The corners tend to lift away from the window though, but so far they are sticking pretty good. Just follow the package directions & it works good. This film has cut down my cooling costs quite a bit, and the rooms are noticeably cooler since installed. Also, during the daylight hours you can enjoy quite a bit of privacy even when indoor lights are on.

I hope this ends up doing what I need it to do: provide daytime privacy and heat control on my West facing windows.Cutting the stuff is a REAL pain. It comes rolled tight so it is hard to get flat to measure. If you try to "reverse" roll it the liner comes lose and the product wrinkles. THE SHARPEST BLADE you can find is critical. It's hard to cut, especially big pieces, uniformly even if using a straight edge. Trimming on the window is even worse as it's hard to snug up the edges. Maybe if you had a helper but I don't so for one person, it can be tough to apply. Using lots of soapy water helps you to move the material around but it also makes it hard to trim.As others have said, cutting guidelines on the liner would help immensely.

I am a female and I did this project alone, it wasn't hard just a bit of a learning curve as far as cutting it probably should have done it on the tile downstairs vs the carpet upstairs cutting is the hardest part of you have help to cut it will be quick!!! I sprayed the water on the side I peel the plastic off and that's the part that goes on the window that part got confusing too because it's hard to tell which side is reflective. I'm back to buy another roll because I wan to do all my windows!
