Solid keyboard backed by even better customer service.
I purchased the RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK87 Sink87G RGB in January 2025 and was genuinely impressed right out of the box. The build quality felt solid, the typing experience was smooth and responsive, and the keyboard back lighting was customizable and vibrant without being over-the-top (even though I only use white). At this price point, it honestly felt like a great value — better than some more expensive boards I have used. Over the next couple of months, though, I started noticing some minor issues — a keystroke would occasionally not register, or it would double-type. It wasn’t consistent, and at first, I figured it might just be me. But the issue slowly became more frequent, and eventually, I knew something was off. I decided to contact Royal Kludge support — not expecting much, to be honest. Maybe a canned response, or a small discount toward a future purchase. What I got instead totally surprised me. Their customer service team was incredibly responsive and genuinely helpful. They didn’t just go through the motions — they took the time to listen to what I had already tried and then offered new, detailed troubleshooting steps that showed they actually understood the product and cared about solving the issue. When that didn’t fix it, I reached back out — and the very next day, they had a replacement unit in the mail to me. No hassle, no arguments, just a clear commitment to standing behind their product. In short: the keyboard itself is great — well-built, stylish, and enjoyable to use. But what really sets Royal Kludge apart is their after-sale support. It's rare these days to find a company that doesn't just make good hardware, but also supports it so well after the sale. That kind of experience builds trust, and it's why I’ll definitely be buying from them again. If you’re on the fence about trying one of their products, I can say from experience: not only are they worth it — you’ll be taken care of if something goes wrong.

Very good keyboard for your buck.
Did I need a keyboard? No. Did I want a keyboard to put custom kittypaw keycaps on? YES. This keyboard is easy to customize, but because not everyone wants to waste their money on keycaps I will say that his keyboard is worth it for the quality alone. It's heavyweight, giving it a sturdy, well-made feel when you type with it. It doesn't slide around my desk like my old keyboard did, and I really like that it stays put. I connect it via bluetooth, and I have not noticed any issues with it disconnecting randomly. I don't notice any lag when using this keyboard at all. I also found that I could replace my keycaps and switches very easily and the custom caps fit well. The backlight took some getting use to. I barely use the backlight function, as I usually type in well lit rooms. You can set it to one color, or rainbow, and it has different lighting effects too. I think this keyboard will be a good upgrade for a beginner keycap hobbyist, or for anyone who likes a sturdy, quality keyboard for a good price.

Decent keyboard for the price.
What to say, I like the lights, lol. There are a bunch of different colors and patters and I like how they can be accessed via key combos instead of needing software. The lights auto turn off a little bit after typing, which is to be expected with a wireless device. The typing feel is pretty nice. The battery life is decent, lasts for days with casual daily use. It is pretty sturdy and well made. The keyboard was plug and play and of course easy to use. I'm not sure that I prefer rechargeable keyboards (or mice). When you do run out of battery you are left tethered again and probably leave the cable just sitting there still plugged in for the next time it is needed. I feel like the range for wireless connectivity is a bit short for my preference but typical for a wireless keyboard. The ten key less format is great for saving space, if you don't need that number pad. I will take off one star because the keyboard cannot be used with just the cable, it only communicates/works/types through the usb dongle. While this is typical of rechargeable wireless keyboards, it isn't ideal.

Great mech for the price
Update: After almost a full year the keyboard is still performing like new for me. I've only needed to plug it in to charge maybe once a month, all the keys are perfectly responsive, all colors illuminate on all keys, and I can find nothing to complain about. Indeed, I'm not sure whether it's because I've acclimated to the feel of this keyboard or because the switches are getting broken in, but I find typing on this keyboard effortless and highly enjoyable. I suspect the people complaining about bad battery life are overcharging. I never leave mine plugged longer than overnight. Original review: This keyboard's Outemu Brown switches produce a more obvious tactile bump than the Cherry MX Browns on my Das Keyboard at work, and so require slightly more pressure to activate. That's not to say these aren't still light touch keys, though. I can still type on them at a normal speaking tempo without bottoming out on my keystrokes. They require noticeably less force to actuate than my wife's Cherry MX Speed Silvers on her Corsair K70. At the moment, these Outemus make the tactile bump in the Cherry MX Browns at work feel almost accidental by comparison (which I've always experienced as more of a vague scrape than a tactile bump anyway). We'll see whether that's still true after a couple months' break-in. (Edit: After 3 months, the tactile bump is still significantly more pronounced on the Outemu Browns than on Cherry MX Browns. Edit 2: After 7 months, the tactile bump is still plainly present, although it never draws my attention unless I'm actively considering it.) The lighting effects in this keyboard are trippy. You can cycle through lighting modes and record macros using key combinations, but the software downloadable from the rkgaming website makes customizing easier. When you go to download the software, DO NOT use Google Translate, and do not click the English flag. The file host's download link will not appear on Google's translation. Just Ctrl+F and search for 键盘驱动 on the rkgaming home page, then find Sink87G on the resulting page. That takes you where you need to be. This keyboard seems well-assembled. There are no dead LEDs, none of the stabilizers seem misaligned, and all of the keys are responsive. Using the ripple lighting effect, battery capacity is plenty. I've had this keyboard on a single charge for about a month so far with usually around 1 - 4 hours per day of use. I had to send my first keyboard back as defective, but Amazon's generous return policy and Prime shipping ensured I eventually got a working keyboard. Just bear in mind at this price, you might have to play a bit of quality control. Just be patient, and you'll end up with a nice mech keyboard for 1/3 or 1/4 the cost of more boutique keyboards at similar quality. Pictured is the RK Sink87G with the Logitech N600 lapboard .

Best keyboard I’ve owned.
I’d like to say that I’ve had the steel series apex pro keyboard. Two years the the keys began to stop working. Now it’s unusable. I had just bought another wireless keyboard and mouse by Logitech a month ago and it lost its signal constantly. Even at two feet away. Horrible. This is great so far. Tip If P key flashes it’s Bluetooth Also when it dies in wireless. It dies suddenly. *If you add wire. You MUST turn IT OVER and turn it to OFF. OR IT STILL WONT WORK. I also just realized I can add the Bluetooth dongle to the end of a usb extender and it’s closer to me:) maybe that helps also It is constructed well. And going from wired to wireless is not terrible hard when you figure out that you have to sometimes switch the back to wired or wireless and then hit special keys. Very happy to be able to go from wired to wireless. The ONLY problem I have is that the wire that goes into it has issues staying plugged in the port. It’s nice to come out with its pulled too much but it’s so loose. It comes out far too often and feels loose. A magnetic port would have been great.

Value for Money
This keyboard is great for gaming. The wireless connection is strong and allows for comfort and ease without wires. It has improved my online gaming experience and office work. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to game and for official use. I love the soft and light touch. I charge it for about 2-3 hours and it lasts me for my five days of work which is 8 hours a day. I like that you can change the lighting because you can never get bored! And it can be used as Wired and Wireless which is an added advantage. The keys are very soft and if anyone is typing for a long time definitely this is the one you should be looking for it.

Awesome TKL Mechanical Keyboard—Great Performance!
The RK 87 Wireless TKL keyboard is fantastic! The wireless connection is rock solid with no noticeable lag, making it perfect for both gaming and work. The mechanical switches feel great—responsive, tactile, and satisfying to type on. The RGB lighting is vibrant and fully customizable, adding a nice aesthetic to my setup. I also love the compact TKL design, which saves desk space while still providing all the essential keys. Battery life is impressive, lasting for days on a single charge. Overall, this keyboard delivers excellent performance, build quality, and features at a great price. Highly recommend it for gamers and professionals alike!

Super Tastatur, top P/L leider nur US Layout

Great keyboard, well built, with great tactile feedback
This is my first foray into mechanical keyboards. I have been using normal cheap keyboards for years. I am I software developer so do a fair amount of typing. I love working on this keyboard. It can be a bit noisy even with the 'less noisy' brown switches. As someone that sits in front of a keyboard for hours a day, I would def recommend this keyboard. Its happiness for your fingers! It is backlit and I like that it is wireless. I don't like wires on my desk. It charges via usb3 while using it so when it goes flat you can still use it. Battery life is fair. Furthermore, I enjoy tinkering with electronics and managed to clear the firmware. I reached out to RK and there support was helpful and friendly and got my keyboard back up running. That is pretty good service I think as it was completely my fault. Would def recommend just based on the support I received.
