WALI Adjustable Laptop Desk Mount for 17 inch Notebook or 32 inch Screen

This was fairly easy to put together. It took some time and you have to read the instructions carefully. Just take your time, it's easy. Once put together, it is incredibly sturdy. I'm not worried about my laptop weighing it down over time. It is easy to adjust the height but it definitely takes 2 hands and requires you to remove your laptop first. It holds in place. I don't have a standard desk so I needed all the space I could get. This gets my laptop up and off the desk/table I'm using and saves me a ton of space. The clamp was easy to tighten and stays put. The underside of my table isn't flat and the mount still gripped it and doesn't budge! Easy to push and pull towards and away from you as needed.

I tried several different desk arrangements to optimize my setup for my three primary computer tasks: reading (RSS/email/web); photo processing in Lightroom; dabbling with music via MIDI controllers and virtual instruments. After trying a few different stands, I saw this tray mount at a great price, and figured it was worth trying to see if it would give me the flexibility I was looking for - basically, to have my 14" MacBook Pro close to my aging eyes for working with HDR photos in Lightroom, but then be able to have the laptop out of the way for other tasks that don't require that screen, all while allowing me to eliminate any consideration of leaving desk space for the laptop. After trying a few different mounting points on my desk, I found a spot that fulfills all of those requirements. Setup was pretty straightforward, given the requirements for secure placement, and I finally have an arrangement that I can optimize for whatever I happen to be doing with the computer at any time. The only small issue I have with the tray mount is the connection between the arm and the tray. A bracket attached to the bottom of the tray slides over the end of the articulating arm, with one thumb screw to secure it in place. That all works well enough, but the tolerances between the piece of the arm that slides into the bracket and the bracket itself are too great, which allows the tray to rock side-to-side a bit more than I'd like, and can make the tray hard to level if a crooked display bothers you. I managed to solve this with a couple of small metal strips that I happened to have around, using them as shims to prevent the wobble and level the tray. Overall, especially for the price, this is a very solid solution to common desk arrangement issues. I'm tempted to grab another one to give me flexibility in placing my 27" 4k display, whose stand restricts placement of a couple other things on my desk and doesn't allow me to get the display quite as close as I'd like it to be.

Threaded holes to mount main plate to peg board "teeth" plate are NOT chamfered making it very difficult to start the thread engagement when installing. I was mounting to a metal peg board, fiber board may be more forgiving in allowing the 2 "toothed" members to conform to the main plate and making the screws easier to start. Fiddling with this in a hot garage is frustrating, Plan on installing when your environment is cooler. Once it was mounted it felt very secure. The side clips I found to be useless as you cannot open, or fully close the lid of the lap top when they are in place. not a deal breaker, just a few parts that go in a junk drawer to probably never be used, collect dust and get thrown away years from now. Purchase met expectation one installed

Does what I need it to do. Love how it attaches to the side of where my desk is and I’m able to move it out of the way. Great for small spaces!

Very nice laptop mount, I got this to use with my DJ booth, so for you DJ's with the foldable style with shelf booth, it will work without any modes, but I made some to make it work slightly better. The first, I drilled a hole closer to the edge of shelf to get closer to the side and , I bought a shorter bolt with knob( M10 bolt) it takes less time setting it up. The only issue is there is a bit of flex, its not 100% rigid as the shelf's on the these booths is thin metal. Good value for the money. I did have some play in the tray like others have mention, if you tighten the bolt that is supplied that secures the tray to the arm it reduces almost all of the play.

I recently built a new stand/enclosure for my cnc machine and needed a new place to put my laptop when I run projects. When I found this item, saw the price, and read a lot of great reviews I figured it was worth a try. Also, I asked a couple questions on the item listing and several people gave answers that were helpful in making my decision to purchase this item. If you happen to be one of the people who answered my questions, thank you!!🙌🏻 I changed the way it mounts. Instead of assembling the clamp-on parts of the unit, I just used its holes and mounted that directly onto the frame of my cnc enclosure (which is simply framed with 2x4's). This is PLENTY secure, and the arm moves around easily and I can also swing it out of the way enough for me to pull my welding cart out if I need to. I did notice when the arm is swung over the right (so that i'm standing side by side with the cnc machine), it has a little more bounce/play but if I swing the arm around so that I'm standing directly in front of the cnc machine, it's much more solid. It's probably because of the way I mounted the main pole part to my cnc enclosure. It's not a big deal at all and I'll probably just make something to secure the top couple inches of the vertical pole to the enclosure as well. This will eliminate any right-leaning play. Overall assembly was easy, but the text/diagrams in the instructions are pretty small and a little difficult to make out but I got through it and ultimately emerged victorious. The cable management clips are nice. They're definitely helpful. This item is exactly what I was looking for to use in my shop with my cnc machine.👍🏻

Got one for the laptop, liked it so much, I bought another for my LED monitor. The current monitor does not have the VESA mounting holes, but 4 velcro pads took care of that. The next one will. Loved the second one, right up until I grabbed the wrong nut off my bench to put the plate on the swivel mount. discovered too late that I had threaded a fine thread onto a course thread stud. But hey, there's a handy allen slot on the end of the stud, so I can spin it out, spin a set screw with some thread lock on the nut in, and be back in business. WRONG WRONG WRONG In their effort to stupid proof the mount, they also made it UN-REPAIRABLE. Well mostly. They squished the tail of the stud, so even if it came loose, it couldn't come out. But since it was dark behind everything, I went ahead and tried to turn the stud out, got it most of the way, and then ripped out every thread there was. Wound up drilling it out so I could put an M5 set screw and 2 nuts in, with the threadlock, and eventually getting it mounted and the monitor in place. What should have been a simple stud replacement became an hour ordeal because somebody took stupid proofing a bit too far, and yet not far enough at the same time. BTW, had to use a long set screw and two nuts, because there wasn't enough clearance to put a long bolt in place of the stud and get the hex head past the swivel base. Yes, it's my own brand of stupidity, but if you're going to make something non-removable, make it NON-REMOVABLE, not partially and then non. Once I was past that hiccup, loving it for the monitor as much as I love it for the laptop. Edit: One thing I had to do for my laptop unit. The stud that holds the plate to the arm prevents it from going completely flat when it's up. Flipping the arm over solved that, but no mention of the necessity to get it flat in the documentation. In the flat position, there is no pull on the stud, only retaining it on the flanges. 2nd Edit: NOTE: This is adjustable, but the hinge bushings ARE NOT suitable for constant movement. Got it to pivot my laptop and 2nd monitor out of the way and secured while traveling. The main bushing at the mounting tube for the older laptop is starting to sag. The arm for the new LED monitor is not having a problem... yet. It's plastic and can not take the semi constant 180 degree movement between stowed and use positions with the laptop weight. I will disassemble when I have a chance and see about upgrading / replacing whatever I have to work with. This is an older laptop, so newer / thinner / lighter laptops and tablets may not have a problem.

Screw broke off automatically after 1 month, not wort the money or time.

Easy to setup, great for my macbook, very sturdy making me comfortable that my laptop wont fall off. I have noticed at times that the screws on the bottom become a tad loose at times but just a sleight tighten and its good to go

Yo los utilizo para sostener mis reproductores de audio y los aguantan muy bien, cuando hago ligera presión para usar el player se mantiene en su lugar, es una maravilla que sea totalmente móvil cuando ya está todo ajustado. Así puedes apuntar en un rango de 180 grados. Ya llevan un par de meses ahí y no siento que se muevan para nada. Recomiendo. Resultaron ser de excelente desempeño y confiables.

Just installed this on my sit and stand desk. Love that there are multiple ways to mount it and that they are all very sturdy. Appreciate the detail of having a space to hold the Allen wrenches so that they don’t get lost. Would have been nice if a small wrench and Phillips driver were included to mount the laptop tray.
