Comparison between Honey-Can-Do & Seville SHE16165 Sorters
[ng Ironing and Sorter Combo Laundry Center]There are two similar laundry sorter products on Amazon: the "Honey-Can-Do SRT-01235 Heavy-Duty Triple Laundry Sorter" and the "Seville Classics SHE16165 3-Bag Laundry Sorter Cart With Hanging Bar". And now I have bought a third with an ironing board top, "Honey-Can-Do SRT-01196 Rolling Ironing and Sorter Combo Laundry Center". They are, at the time I bought them, nearly the same price. I needed an upstairs and downstairs sorter so I bought one of each since I couldn't make up my mind. And then later I needed a third so I bought the ironing board top.The Seville Classics and simple 3 bag Honey-Can-Do SRT-01235 are very comparable. The Honey-Can-Do SRT-01196 Rolling Ironing unit is just a little too different to be directly comparable to the other two "heavy duty" types. I will compare the two similar heavy duty units head to head and talk about the ironing board unit on its own. Both the Seville Classics and Honey-Can-Do SRT-01235 are sturdy well-built units designed for heavy duty use and each are good choices. They both have the same 3-bag capacity and the same removable bag concept. And both were huge improvements to my previous laundry hampers so you can't go wrong with either. But there are a couple of details that may make a difference to you that I will outline below. The Honey-Can-Do SRT-01196 Rolling Ironing unit has the same 3 bag removable concept but adds an ironing board top. It is not deemed "heavy duty" like the other two and it shows.Quick Buying Guide:Seville SHE16165: Buy if you want the sturdiest frame, sturdiest bag/bag support and wheels AND want a hanger bar. If you opt to remove the hangar bar then it will leave you with a four inch pipe on each side. See the picture, with the hangar bar removed the pipe ends at the black ring fitting.Honey-Can-Do SRT-01235: Buy this if you don't want the hanging bar. If you are not rolling it much then it really makes most of the Seville's frame sturdiness moot (except for the bags). If space is an issue, the Honey has the slightly smaller height profile due to no hangar bar.Honey-Can-Do SRT-01196: Buy this if you don't need a tank and find the table top useful (I use it all the time). The board is not really an ironing board substitute but useable. If the unit is in the open (not in a closet) then the board acts as a nice cosmetic cover. Again, there is a noticeable difference in construction.Detail Comparison Between the Heavy Duty Units Seville SHE16165 & Honey-Can-Do SRT-01235:DESIGN. The Seville SHE16165 is sturdier than the Honey-Can-Do due to its: (i) eight vertical bars and six horizontal bars vs. the Honey's 6 x 4 design; (ii) bottom bag-support less stress on the bags); (iii) stronger bags; and (iv) larger wheels (both have wheel locks). I think the sturdier bags and bag-support are notable differences while the stronger frame and wheels is a bit of overkill on a laundry sorter, unless you roll it around a lot or are into competitive laundry sorter racing or something.HANGER BAR. The Seville SHE16165 has an adjustable hanger bar that can be positioned high or low. The hanger bar can be brought down to about 6 inches from the top, otherwise the units have near identical dimensions. the bar can also be removed if you don't like it. but then you have a 3 inch vertical pipe cap on each side that no longer serve a purpose. it's not unsightly (it has the black cap) but it may look a little odd.DIMENSIONS. The Honey-Can-Do product is lighter with a more compact design (height-wise). It seems to fit better in a closet because of the lack of hanger bar. Depth/width are similar.BAGS/BAG SUPPORT. The Seville bags are off-white to the Honey's white. And the Seville's bags are stronger. As noted above, the Honey has no bottom to support the bags (one reviewer on the Honey site did complain of a small tear eventually appearing on a Honey bag). The Seville's bag-support simply rests on the frame bottom so it does rattle if there is nothing pressing down on it. If it bugs you, the bottom support is removable as well.ASSEMBLY. Both are easy to assemble. Although I could not completely align the Honey's wheel height so it has a slight wobble to it.SHOPPING ALTERNATIVES. I found the Honey-Can-do product or near equivalent at walmart/target websites but not the Seville. The prices were about 5% more than Amazon.Detail on the Honey-Can-Do SRT-01196 Ironing Board Unit:The Honey-Can-Do SRT-01196 is of slighter construction than the other two in every way. It has a lighter frame and lighter bags. Going over door thresholds and putting your weight on it while pushing immediately highlights the differences in construction. But, to be honest, in general home use this unit's construction is good enough. I think that the heavy-duty models are better suited for people rolling longer distances and with teens who will be too rough with the units. If you have no use for the board then skip this unit as it offers no other advantage.I really prefer the other units' heavy-duty bags, which I think is the bigger differentiator. The bags are sturdy enough but once you see the difference you will prefer the other bags. The board top is useable as an ironing board but its greater utility is as a table top. I use it all the time and find the top handy enough that I often roll the whole unit to the washing machine rather than just bringing the bags. I leave the unit out in the open in bathroom and find the table top is a nice cosmetic top. I will eventually find some way to cover it but it's fine for now.**Edit: There is a Seville version without the hanging bar that I think I would have preferred: Seville Classics SHE16166 3-Bag Laundry Sorter. It was not available at the time when I was making my choice and is not included in this review. However, that Seville model lacks the extra bars and is likely more comparable to the honey-can-do in sturdiness.Gosh, if you read all the way to the bottom than you, like me, must be thinking way too much about your laundry sorter purchases! Enjoy your sorter. Cheers!

Great laundry sorter!
Great laundry sorter! The assembly was pretty quick & easy, only requires one person. It's been a nice addition to the laundry room. We don't have one good spot for it so it gets moved a lot and it rolls smoothly. The bags are pretty big and the whole thing feels super sturdy.

The quality is better than expected.
Each bag holds a load and a half (for me). I use it to sort colored, whites and towels/linens/rags. The quality of the bags and hooks is better than expected. The bags are a true white. It rolls smoothly. I added a shelf to mine for folding clothes. It does the job I needed and looks good while doing it. A purchase I am glad I did.

Great laundry basket
Super convenient for sorting laundry when it's dirty (not digging through a giant pile on laundry day), and the carry handles are especially useful when transporting between where the rack lives (upstairs) and the washer (downstairs). The bags also hold a surprising amount of laundry given their apparent size.

Easy to assemble & reasonably sturdy
Easy to assemble and seems sturdy. Using in basement laundry area and the wheels makes it easy to load into washing machine and then move out of the way.

High Quality
No disappointment here and the price is just fine!

Love The Laundry Sorter
This is our second one. Nothing wrong with the first one, gave it to a friend, because we moved and it was too hard to find a box to pack it in for the movers. Had the previous one since 2009 and it’s as good today as it was then. The bags had been washed MANY times, with bleach, and still in excellent condition. Highly recommend this sorter.

Works great and love it but wish it had 4 bags instead of 3
I searched for a laundry sorter for a while and after reading many reviews, settled on this product. I've had it for almost a year now and it has held up great. The only thing I would change is to have it come with 4 laundry bags instead of 3. We still have to use our old hamper to store towels in since this doesn't have enough bags for our needs. The wheels are sturdy and it makes wheeling this back and forth so easy. We sort our colds, warms, whites, etc in the laundry bags as we finish with things and so when it is time to do a load, it is super easy and we don't have to sort and have piles all over the floor. We can just take the cold bag and throw everything into the machine and have it ready to fill up with more clothes. We do anywhere from 7 to 10 loads a week and having that extra 4th bag would make it even easier. I looked on their website and so far can't find just the bag to add to this but hopefully I can soon. The bags are large and can hold quite a bit of clothes and even though this sorter has 3 bags in it, there is actually enough room to add 1 more. The bags, metal frame, and wheels are all going strong and show no wear and tear after almost a year of using it regularly. I love this sorter and am glad I got it.
