It has a great smoothing effect around the 'love handles' area and definitely gives a better outline under close-fitting t-shirts, jeans and dresses. I was very impressed to find that it really doesn't roll down or become at all uncomfortable even after a long evening's wear. However, it doesn't achieve as much of a tummy-flattening effect as hoped so I've ordered the next size down to see if there is any difference.
